About This Listing
David and Angie's nineteenth century elegant Victorian house is located in a secret garden twenty minutes’ walk from the historic centre of Cork City, a European capital of culture, boasting an energetic artistic community.
The house itself has a welcoming atmosphere with beautifully decorated rooms in the period style, spacious and comfortably furnished.
Angie is an artist painter with a studio in the city while David a Chocolatier has his workshop studio in their garden. So while you sit, relax and listen to bird song within the walled garden after a day visiting sites, it's possible to indulge in a little chocolate tasting with a complimentary glass of wine.
In the morning before heading out for a day’s sightseeing, a hearty breakfast is served in the conservatory.
Both David and Angie are very informative about their city and will provide information on current arts events, historic attractions and good restaurants. It’s an ideal place for exploring the Cork region and neighbouring counties.Within walking distance from the Marquee for music events.
Hands on chocolate courses can be arranged where you can make truffles or your own personalised creations and learn the secrets of the chocolate world, can be arranged with prior notice.

A wonderful return to David and Angie's B&B in Cork. They truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome and I had a great few days - leaving very chilled out and relaxed
David and Angie were absolutely wonderful hosts! Their home is beautiful, the accommodations very comfortable, and the location is ideal to travel around Cork and the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our chats, and Angie even showed us around her studio, which was a real treat. We would recommend David and Angie's house without hesitation for anyone traveling to the area!
David and Angie made us feel welcome when we arrived. Even though we got a bit lost finding the place David called us and patiently walked us through the directions. They have a lovely home which is on a busy street but back far enough to create a quiet little garden oasis. Upstairs room tastefully decorated with antiques and art. We very much enjoyed our conversations over tea and chocolate. The location was close enough to downtown for a quick drive to have a nice dinner in one of the many good restaurants there.
Amazing experience at David and Angie's B&B! They were really lovely and friendly. Helped me find my way around the city and made the yummiest food. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would readily recommend to anyone! The house was beautiful and cozy but also very spacious. The room smelled fresh and the bed was really comfortable. Thanks!
David and Angie were so warm and friendly. The setting was beautiful and homey, wish we could have stayed longer.
David is a great host in Cork. He has a colourful interesting house, and 3 dogs with each unique temperament. These dogs bark but get used to you quite fast. My dog Jon Jon got used to them as well. The room is warm and facing east, so mornings are shining. Breakfast was prepared according to my vegan diet with orange juice, coffee and almond milk and cereal. I am happy David found time to run a 2 hour chocolate workshop with us, that was interesting and fun.
