The house is in a safe tree lined road in family area close to all transport and main roads. Parking is not controlled. Friendly host with international outlook. Children can be accommodated and the area has good parks and child friendly areas. The house has a large kitchen area and the garden is large for London.
This house is not for people who don't like animals. There are three cats that hang around the house when it is cold. Outside mostly during the summer. 12 Chicken that definitely do live outside, although are tame so can be hand fed for the fun of it. There is also an golden labrador called Tammy - that is only in the house when owner is in, She is 5 years old and very friendly, loves everyone.
Pets can be accommodated but must be pre booked and must be well behaved and fit in with the other animals!
Interaction with Guests
I live in the house but do work full time - leave in the morning around 9 and get home at a similar time. Open to chatting and happy to help with any planning of visits etc.,
There is loads of public transport - Buses go to Richmond, Kew Gardens and other great attractions while the Underground heads into Central London and out to Heathrow.
Under no circumstances will smoking be tolerated on the property at any time.
I stayed at Linda's B&B as an 'in-between flats' solution and had a fabulous stay. Linda was a great hostess - she was warm and welcoming, and absolutely nothing was too much effort. She respected personal space but at the same time was happy to have a good chinwag over a bottle of vino.
The atmosphere was totally relaxing, and Tammy, the white labrador, a personal favourite... closely followed by Jak Jak the black cat. There was a tranquil 'country-feel' which I never would have expected in Zone 3 London (nearest tube with very convenient Piccadilly line into London about a 10mins slow walk).
The bedroom and bathroom were spotless, and the bed super comfortable. An added bonus was the use of the kitchen (with own cupboard space) and appliances, as well as the lounge/dining room. Breakfast was self service and a large variety on offer. Linda was quite prepared to source any specific breakfast food I wanted - which I didn't take her up on, but the offer was appreciated.
All and all I had a fantastic stay and great value for money. Thanks so much Linda. I'm looking forward to another visit or at the very least a meet-up with you and Tammy!
Linda was an awesome host. She was super friendly and provided light breakfast for us to start the day. She even left us a box of chocolate crisp upon our arrival. Her place was about 10 mins away from the Northfield metro stop and the line takes you into central London in about 30 mins. The room was decent size and the bathroom was shared with two other males who rent from Linda. It would have been nice if it was a tad bit cleaner. Thanks again Linda!
I feel very sad that Ying though that everything was not as clean as it could be - but summer has not yet arrived and so pets do come in with muddy feet and do moult at this time of the year - that said I do try to keep everything clean - everything goes through the dishwasher and washing machine and before this comment everyone does seem to have commented it is clean - so perhaps it is just levels of expectation. Certainly if people want a shiny new house - its not here!
Linda's home is clean, friendly and relaxed.
The bed is super comfy and the area is quiet - so makes for a good nights sleep.
The area is convenient for getting into London or the airport and transport services are easily accessible.
The pets are charming and the house has a lovely homely vibe. Great value for money and highly recommended.
Great escape in london, the bedroom is very confortable and Linda's house is nice...Thanks a lot...
Linda is a wonderful host who made me feel very welcome during my 5 nights at her home. She was extremely helpful and even gave me one of her oyster cards to use whilst I was in London.
The house was very easy to find and only a few minutes walk from Northfields tube station. The room itself was perfect and very comfortable.
I highly recommend this listing and would have no hesitation in staying here again.
I just have loved to stay in Linda's house. Everything is very clean and Linda is very accessible in help with information about anything you need in Northfields or any part of London. I miss Tammy, the dog and Jak Jak, the cat and the other cats. If you like pets you will suffer when you leave because they are really friends and always willing to play. I would return to Linda's house without hesitation.
Linda is a great host who has made me felt very welcome during my stay in her home. Descriptions given are perfectly accurate, and it is easily accessible to central London and Heathrow Airport via the London Tube, as well as to attractions such as the Royal Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace.
In addition, Linda takes the time to interact with her guests, and gives feedback or advice when requested.
I highly recommend this listing, and will look forward to staying here again should I ever come back to London.
