The location was so good
Very near the subway and also is near the airport
The room is very well and it is very clean. It is close to the beach and the transportation. It is convenient.
Unfortunately, I was not familiar with the Revere neighborhood and arrived just before 10pm with my children. This reservation was a "Book Instantly" that we initiated around 5pm that evening. I got the Airbnb confirmation, but no details from the host. When we arrived at 10, we had to knock on the apartment door for several minutes before another guest staying in a different room finally answered the door. Those guests were as confused and perturbed as we were. The neighborhood was a bit seedy and the beds were basic, to say the least.
The photos of the place are very nice, but the it didn't look nearly as nice arriving with 2 children at night. It is more like a hostel or a flop house. We ended up leaving because my kids were scared and didn't want to be in a place with so many other people that we didn't know. We received the official confirmation and entry info from Rex at 10:15 while were were driving towards the airport looking for a hotel. Every place in Boston was booked so we ended up driving 40 miles to a Best Western in Marlborough. The lesson: Read the reviews very carefully. This place would be fine for a group of college students traveling on a budget, but it's not the right place for a family with children. If you choose to stay here, I'd recommend bringing your own air mattress and sleeping bag too.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Due to complications, I did not get to experience a stay at Rex's accommodation in Boston, but I did get to experience his exceptional customer service. Airbnb made a mistake and overbooked one of the nights, which Rex's promptly notified me of. In addition, on the day my friends and I were traveling, our flight cancelled so we could no longer make it to Boston. I messaged Rex to see if there was anything he could do, and he refunded us as much as airbnb would allow, something he did not have to do.
This was my first time using airbnb, and even though we did not get to travel to Boston, Rex's help and understanding turned the experience into a positive. I will stay with Rex when I go to Boston in the near future based on his care for the traveler alone.
One of the nicest thing about this place is its location. You can instantly see the subway station once you get off the house. The 'Stop & Shop' store is less than 15 minutes walking, and there is a coin laundromat (very) near to the house. All the basic things already provided in the kitchen which makes it pretty convenient if you are travelling on a budget. By subway it takes only about 30-40 minutes to Boston downtown.
We went there on winter but the rooms were very warm and nice, we almost forgot it was raining outside.
The house may not look all pretty from the outside, but inside it's better.
We didn't have the chance to meet Rex (as we spent all day exploring Boston) but he has been a very responsive host. He sent us a very detailed e-mail before our arrival, and once we got in the place, he called us to make sure that everything is all right for us, and ask whether we need any help from him.
Overall, I would recommend this place, especially for people like us, students who are travelling on a budget,
Okay for one night but quite dirty (sheets had not been changed) and cold (almost broken window).

I have been running this bed and breakfast for almost two years now, and I love it! It is always great to hear the various stories that our guests from all over the world have. My place is offering you the basics you need for lodging, this is not intended to be very fancy-- just a convenient place to sleep over and stay. It will be my pleasure to host you. Looking forward to your stay!
