Boston house and hotel is very expensive, so please don't expect condition like hotel with this price. But we provide all the basic living condition and have kitchen available. If you look for your honey moon stay, please keep this place away :) :)
One of the nicest thing about this place is its location. You can instantly see the subway station once you get off the house. The 'Stop & Shop' store is less than 15 minutes walking, and there is a coin laundromat (very) near to the house. All the basic things already provided in the kitchen which makes it pretty convenient if you are travelling on a budget. By subway it takes only about 30-40 minutes to Boston downtown.
We went there on winter but the rooms were very warm and nice, we almost forgot it was raining outside.
The house may not look all pretty from the outside, but inside it's better.
We didn't have the chance to meet Rex (as we spent all day exploring Boston) but he has been a very responsive host. He sent us a very detailed e-mail before our arrival, and once we got in the place, he called us to make sure that everything is all right for us, and ask whether we need any help from him.
Overall, I would recommend this place, especially for people like us, students who are travelling on a budget,
Okay for one night but quite dirty (sheets had not been changed) and cold (almost broken window).
The facility was not even close to what a minimum standard BnB should be. No manager was on site during my stay at one facility. I was given the worst room available despite the fact that no other guests were staying there for the first 2 nights. Kitchen is not adequately equipped. Convenient location with respect to access to train service, and good internet connection was available though. Then, one day I was forced to move to his other facility at a different address with an excuse that the city inspection officials will come and that no guests should be there. At the other facility, Rex initially attempted to give me the worst room available again which I blatantly refused. Then he gave me a room without AC saying that he did not have an extension cord for the AC. When I insisted that he install the AC no matter what, then this guy gave in. At check out, I was asked to leave early for the same reason that the city inspection guys will come and I shoud not be there. I would not stay again, at his place. Very poor service. Very disappointed.
Room was pretty simple, as made clear in the listing, but was more than suitable for my needs. Shower room was a bit dingy. Also the room had trains/planes/car going by all the time - didn't bother me but might be an issue for others. Didn't meet Rex but communication was good. Excellent subway access.
Fine stay, nice bed.
Little Blues Brothers feel to it with the metrotrain running passed the window though. Very conveniently located to explore Boston.
It's just two blocks to Revere Beach. Room was clean and bright. Very warm. Bath was good too.
Very, VERY conveniently located just 2 or 3 blocks from the T. Sheets were fresh, and even though the overall house had probably seen better days, everything was clean. Never got to meet Rex, but his instructions were very clean and I had no trouble.
We didn't see Rex but everything was very good explained and met all our expectations! ;)
Rex is so good.
If you have some question, he will try to solve your question.
Rex is super responsive to emails and inquiries.
The place is indeed 3 minutes (perhaps 3.5) to T-station, so it is super easy to get to city (blue line) or airport (about 10 minutes).
It is a house that serves as a mini-hotel, people coming in and out regularly. You have a room with basic furniture and a key to lock the door. It suited my needs perfectly.
Neighborhood is quiet, I felt safe during my stay there.
