Enjoy the beauty of nature from your porch swing on the banks of the Des Moines River. Relax and let go as you watch gulls and eagles soar overhead. Enjoy time together around the campfire as the sun sets over the water. This cozy cabin is the perfect spot to unwind, & reconnect with yourself, your loved ones & nature. Feeling Adventurous? There are abundant recreational activities available at nearby Lake Red Rock. * More traffic on the T-17 bridge in 2025 due to
nearby construction.

The space
The cabin is spacious and comfortable, with queen beds in tandem bedrooms. The living room is designed for relaxation and hanging out, complete with a comfy leather sofa, electric fireplace, TV and DVD player. The full kitchen has everything your need to prepare a feast or whip up a midnight snack! The large deck and campfire are our favorite places to gather for a shared meal. There is NO wifi or cable - making your stay perfect way to unplug and recharge in nature. PLEASE NOTE: Expect higher traffic on T-17 for 2025 due to road construction around the lake

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire cabin and outdoor space. A floating fishing dock is available to use at your own risk if the river is high enough to float it level. Absolutely NO diving or swimming from the dock. Old railroad cars were buried along the banks between 1930 - 1950 for erosion control. You can still see some of the original wooden box cars if the river is low.
Please note: Due to road construction around the lake expect higher traffic on T-17 for 2025

Other things to note
Our cabin is perfectly located between Pella and Knoxville, so you have plenty of options for entertainment and fun! Pella is home to Tulip Time - a celebration of Dutch heritage and over 300,000 tulip blooms a variety of boutiques and specialty shops, and a wide variety of delicious dining options. Knoxville is the Sprint Car Capital of the World, with seasonal races and major events.

Bottled water is provided for drinking and coffee. All the cabins along the river in this area have their wells for water
supply. It is not a treated municipal water system. Not recommended to wash whites in the laundry.
