Typical studio in the old-fashioned Paris, in one of the finest districts and near the center of the city. Ideal for a single visitor or a couple for a short stay in Paris.
Studio in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, down the Rue Mouffetard. Family neighborhood, famous for its restaurants, bakeries, shopping streets, cobbled alleys, the Paris mosque and plants garden.
The Luxembourg Park is 10 minutes walk away. It takes 5 minutes to get to the metro (subway) so that you can reach the very center of Paris in 10 minutes. You can also get to the RER Station "Port Royal" within 10 minutes from the flat, which is direct to both airports (Charles de Gaulle & Orly).
If you come by train, it is also really easy : the 5 main train stations are direct by bus, metro or RER.
The studio is quite small (13 square meters) yet very functional and contains all the elements in one room : a shower, a kitchen, a sink, a table, a sofa bed...
Caution : toilets are on the landing, but it is a private bathroom (you'll have a key).
The studio is on the 1st floor, so you don't have to take any elevator or stairs.
Ideal for a single person or a couple for a short stay in Paris (1 week end, 1 or 2 weeks).
Internet access for free.
50-70 euros per night
The price can change, depending on the time of the year and on how long you plan to stay (the longer the cheaper of course)
Check-in / check-out : I try to welcome personally each and everyone of my guests, and the times of arrival and departures can be quite flexible, as long as I don't have professional commitments.
My guests are completely independent in the studio, and therefore they have access to everything it contains (furnitures and equipments, but also books, DVDs, etc.)
I am of course available to help my guests if they have any question during their stay.
The 5th arrondissement is a real delight for every Paris-lover. Below every old building there are restaurants, bars, cafés and bakeries where you can enjoy the fantastic french cuisine.
It's very easy to access to the apartment with the overground (RER B, Port-Royal station), the subway (Metro's line 7, between Censier-Daubenton and Les Gobelins stops) or buses (number (phone number hidden)...). You can access the apartment straight from every airport or train station in Paris.
Please read carefully the description, it contains all the information you need !
I would definitely recommend this studio! It is small, but but completely comfortable for two people. It is in a great location and Bartholomé was wonderful and was easy to communicate with. He also very nicely has speakers, books, movies, dishes, etc. already in the room for you to use. Overall a really good experience.
We had such a great experience at Bartholomé's flat! It was in a perfect location and was just up the street from the best Italian restaurant in Paris. We loved the stereo speakers and the sink. The toilet was out in the hall, which was fine. The hot water heater is very very small, so you can't spend too much time showering, but it overall wasn't a problem for us. We loved how well equipped with dishes, pots and towels the room was. It is also on the first floor of the apartment complex which is nice if you have luggage! The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean when we arrived. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is traveling to Paris! Bartholomé was very attentive and available whenever we had an questions. It was a great stay!
Great little apartment in a beautiful area. Only a few minutes walk to the Rue Mouffetard and within easy reach of all the major sights in central Paris (I found myself only needing to use the Metro twice the whole time), the location is hard to beat.
Bartholomé was an amazing host, reliable and helpful. He has a huge knowledge of the area, so if (like me) it's your first time in Paris, don't hesitate to ask him for some tips on where to eat, etc. Thoroughly recommended.
I recommend the studio that Bartholome offers. I just spent 13 nights there, and loved it. The location is excellent. The studio, which is at street level in an old building, offers a wonderful Paris experience, and provides easy access to the metro station, grocery stores, cafes, patisseries and boulangeries, and many restaurants. Rue Mouffetard, which a is a short walk away, is a delight.
The studio is perfect for a single person or for a couple. For me, it became a home away from home. You have ample privacy and freedom to come and go however your schedule allows. The shower is compact; an oversized person would have difficulties -- so that is a caveat. It's true the private toilet is not attached to the studio, but that posed no discomfort to me. Using codes provided by Bartholome, I was able to access the city's free Internet service and communicate with people back home. The studio has all the basic appliances you need. There is no TV; but why would you want one when there is do much to see and do in the city?
To summarize, I recommend the studio. It's location in Arrondissement 5 in a neighborhood that is quintessentially Parisian makes it an appealing option.
It a very cosy apartment all to yourself. Suitable for two and convenient. Near the RER and metro. The thing we appreciate most is the Bartholomé. He is so helpful. Our luggage have been delayed and he helped to call the airport to ensure that it is delivered to us before we move to another destination. A very helpful and reliable host. We will definitely stay there if we visit Paris again.
If you're on a tight budget but want to stay in the heart of Paris, Bartholomé's apartment is a perfect solution. It has all the amenities you'll need and offers a true local experience thanks to the quaint area in which it's situated.
Pros: The sleeper couch was surprisingly comfortable and easy to change from sofa to bed. The little heater did wonders in the small space. The daily stroll from the nearest metro station was one of our fondest experiences, especially as it passes the famous Rue Mouffetard. While the apartment is on the outer skirts of the 5th, it does offer the benefits of being less touristy - including more affordable groceries. Bartholomé also kindly met us early on our arrival date which was greatly appreciated.
Cons: While we didn't mind the small space in general, the shower was our biggest issue for such a long stay (10 days). Its small size makes showering comfortably impossible. The outside toilet isn't a huge issue for a short stay but you may grow tired of it if you're staying for over a week. Finally, despite listed with a 6pm checkout, we were asked to checkout at 12pm. We'd selected this apartment for its late checkout based on our 11.30pm flight and we weren't comfortable leaving our luggage there with new guests which was what was offered to us. This did negatively impact our last day in Paris which became a complete write-off with luggage in tow.
I therefore highly recommend the apartment for a weekend away or for a short stopover journey.
Bartholomé was a very good host. He sent us a lot of great tips to better enjoy Paris. We've found the apartment very neat and clean. The location is just amazing, very near from 2 different metro stations, from Jardin des Plantes (a must-visit garden) and from the best place in neighbourhood: Rue Mouffetard, a very charming street, full of very good restaurants, cafes, fruit/cheese/wine markets. The apt street is very calm, every time of the day. I recommend this place. Very good for a couple.
Merci.
Everything was exactly as communicated and shown in the pictures. The studio is in a fabulous location and a very safe neighborhood. Rue Moufftard is a short walk away and we liked taking that route to get to the Pantheon and Notre Dame. Buses and Metro were easy to locate and within reasonable walking distance. The studio itself was very charming and small, but you expect it when you read the description and see the pictures. It was clean and comfortable for the two of us, but we didn't spend much time there. For being a pull-out bed/couch, it was actually very comfortable to sleep on. Bartholome was friendly and very helpful. I was thoroughly pleased with the whole experience!
Bartholomé was really nice and kind, very willing and friendly! He did his best to make us comfortable, gave us useful tips for enjoying the city. The flat has everything you might need, it's clean and cosy, the area is beautiful and quite convenient to reach by underground or on foot from the city center. We loved our staying at Bartholomé's place!
