I love to travel and meet interesting people so what better way than to open my house to you. I live in a quiet suburb in northern most LA county that is 15 minutes from the ocean, Malibu Pier and Topanga hiking trails. Now I hope I have inspired you! This studio suite is connected to the main house by a common wall but completely private. The suite is spacious and has a large fireplace, is overlooking the pool and with private door entry. The ceilings are beamed and the fireplace awaits. The newly remodeled spa style bath includes pebble walls, stone floors, basin sink and a hydro shower with 6 jets and a rainhead! Night swimming and a barbecue is encouraged! ... I am an empty nester with a house that is too large for me!

We have a 5 day minimum and prefer longer stays. If this unit is booked, check out the Maui Suite that also has a private entrance and huge bathroom! Please No Smoking indoors.

Guest Access

Free wireless internet at poolside and inside for your convenience.

Other Things to Note

- The shower to this suite is located in the garage area (for combined pool use) and separated by a privacy screen.
- The room has a ceiling fan but no central air controller, so it can be a little warm during the day in summer. If you like refrigerator cold air in summer, this is NOT for you.
- We have improved our cleanliness now that my son (and friends) has gone to college and he is not left in charge. We have also made some improvements to the space such as wood flooring so those old rankings are not so relevant. We also no longer can accept pets for cleanliness reasons.

  • It was pleasure to stay with Sarah. Her house is in a lovely quite neighborhood. Not far from Malibu, Santa Monica and LA. The room was spacious, comfortable and it had an en suite. Sarah is a great hostess. She cooked a tasty breakfast both mornings. We enjoyed staying with Sarah and we would highly recommend.

  • Sarah was a terrific hostess who could not have been more kind or helpful. The room, with ensuite bathroom, was large and clean and with fresh towels each day. A delicious breakfast brought to the room kick-started the day. The neighborhood was quiet and parking was very easy. Easy access to Malibu, Topanga, Ventura etc. I would thoroughly recommend a stay with Sarah.

I am an empty nester and and have lived in this area since college and raised my family here. My lifestyle is healthy and I enjoy all the local outdoor activities. My interests are design, architecture, art, gardening, fine dining and travel. I enjoy quiet, low key and peaceful individuals who are calming to be around. I value tolerance, humility and acceptance and try to extend the same grace to others. I travel frequently for business and enjoy meeting interesting people. I love tropical environments and exotic foods.
