About the host:
I love to travel and to experience difference cultures especially by visiting places I have never been to before. I try not to do the same place twice. I especially enjoy going to a country where I feel that I'm IN ANOTHER COUNTRY and don't hear spoken English.

Pets are okay.
Must enjoy your stay.
Joseph's location was perfectly suited for our needs. The description is accurate. The living room area was great for meetings and social gatherings. Kitchen is kind of small, but still supplied with cups, plates, etc. We needed extra chairs and Joseph kindly brought them to us.
The house was above and beyond what we expected. It was clean, well stocked with towels and bedding plus all the needed extra supplies such as soap and other toiletries. The kitchen had all the needed dishes, cutlery and cooking supplies. The location worked very well for SXSW. Our host communicated all the needed instructions and was available for questions. It was a smooth check-in and check-out process. I would highly recommend the house and we would stay there again.
The house was exactly as described- clean with all facilities available to guarantee a comfortable stay. Very quiet suburban neighbourhood but only a short drive up to downtown.
Amazing stay at Joseph's house in south Austin! It was perfect for NYE weekend for 3 couples (6 people) and a puppy. Plenty of space, clean, modern and perfectly equipped. Joseph as a host was great and communicated incredibly fast. Was flexible with a later checkout and provided great information about the house including the awesome entertainment system provided. The beds were very very comfortable and everything was super clean. The back yard is a great size and is well kept. Overall it was just an exceptional experience from the moment we arrived until our departure. Location was fabulous also, 15 minute drive to downtown, 12 minutes to Zilker park. Just great, can't say enough things. Would stay here again FOR SURE!
My family and I had a Thanksgiving trip to Austin and Joseph's place was exactly what we were looking for! The home was perfectly spacious for four people and conveniently located to the city of Austin (as well as lot to offer in his immediate neighborhood). Would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a stay in Austin. Thanks, Joseph!

I love to travel and to experience difference cultures especially by visiting places I have never been to before. I try not to do the same place twice... though I must admit I've been back to Costa Rica several times. I love the weather, landscape and the people there. Life is much simpler in CR and the people enjoy it.
When I travel, I prefer to either go with/visit someone from that country (who speaks the language) and stay with them... and get to experience life as a local, and not as a tourist. This is my favorite thing. Then I can eat the foods, meet the people, and see how they really live.
My most recent trip was to Taiwan in July 2014 for two weeks with friends. (One of which was born in Taipei.)
I'm both a Systems Analyst for a non-profit and an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for the Deaf. I've lived in Austin for about 19 years. I just moved to Houston in 2012 for a job, (where I got a chance to use AirBnB a few times myself while looking for a place to live).
Motto: "You only live once... but if you work it right, once is enough." So, live life to it's fullest and experience as much as you can.
