  • Joseph's place is perfect for our family of six. The house is very clean and kitchen has everything we need. All beds are very comfortable and excellent matress. It has so much more space than a hotel room. Highly recommend Joseph's place.

  • This house was a perfect house and Joseph was a perfect host. We stayed in Austin for the Formula 1 race. Our group had a great time in Joseph's very clean, very nice house. The living, dining room and bedrooms were all great (beds very comfy!), and the backyard was awesome. He was more than accommodating and very flexible on the checkout time which was awesome. The house was in a nice location, in a very quiet neighborhood. We all recommend staying here!

  • Joseph's house is awesome. The entire inside of home is newly remodeled and looks really nice. We had 7 dudes piled in there and had plenty of extra space. Joseph was really easy to contact and we always got a quick response. He also made checking in to the house super easy. This was my first Airbnb experience, and if most of the hosts are as helpful and honest as Joseph, then I'll most definitely be using the website again in the future.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Joseph's home. It was very clean and had everything you could need. I fell in love with the shower in the master bedroom. Booking with Joseph was super easy and he was quick to respond to all of my questions. He even suggested places of interest. This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Austin

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Joseph's house in S. Austin. Our family met there over the holidays and 4 adults fit quite comfortably in the house. We enjoyed being able to hang out together instead of dealing with the difficulties of a hotel and having a kitchen where we could prepare meals helped lower the cost of going out to eat on our extended stay. Joseph was kind enough to check in every now and again to make sure everything was going well and offered to assist with all our needs. The appliances in the kitchen were great and the big screen tv was perfect for evening movies. We didn't make use of the fireplace but that could make things even cozier, I imagine. Only one slight detail, there is only basic tv (although the plus is that if you have a Netflix or Hulu account you can watch tv shows and movies) so if live out of the country like us it makes watching tv difficult. We were a little sad to be unable to watch a very important football game. This by no means reflects on the quality of the house but just a side detail for any international travellers since we don't have cable accounts to log in to or Netflix or Hulu accounts.
The beds were very comfortable, towels were fluffy and the kitchen is stocked with the basic essentials.
We were very happy with our stay and would recommend this location to anyone and look forward to staying here again on our next trip to the ATX.

  • Rented this house for F1 weekend. Was very pleased how the house looked on the inside, wouldn't expect the comfort from the looks of the (website hidden) was very easy to get answers from with any ?'s I had. The only complaint we had was the bathtub in the hallway filled up with water when showering. Wasnot a BIG deal cause we just used the other in master bedroom. Overall was very pleased with the rental. Hope to do business with again

  • After one disastrous Airbnb rental and one that was just "okay", I was prepared for anything in Austin. And I'm glad I left myself open to anything, because Joseph's place was wonderful!
I travel with a large contingent for trade shows, which makes finding a home to accommodate five different people a challenge. Joseph's home worked beautifully for us and Joseph was a gracious host, making a few changes to better suit our needs.
Upon an early arrival - Joseph was kind enough to let us check in several hours early- I was concerned because the home is in a non-descript subdivision tucked off a major highway and from the outside it looks quite small. Once inside, however, my fears were allayed.
Joseph has done a wonderful job rehabbing this home with upgraded materials and finishes. The furniture is comfortable (one of my colleagues thought the bed was too firm, but she likes sleeping on big feathery clouds, so don't be too worried) and the bathrooms are more than adequate. The master has a rain shower head in the ceiling, which is lovely to stand under but annoying to hear drain for 30 or 40 minutes after you turn off the water.
And that's about the only thing I can really complain about: a shower head. Heck, I can handle a drippy shower head!
All in all, I got a very good price for a wonderfully appointed home that sheltered five of us without any real complaints. Thanks, Joseph!
PS - if you're coming to Austin, be aware that they have a ban on disposable plastic bags, but the house has an assortment of paper bags in the cupboard. If you're going to the grocery, take one or two with you and do your part to conserve.

  • We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Joseph's place. The entire experience was well thought out, from our initial contact to our departure. Furthermore, we really appreciated the interior decor, and my kids absolutely loved the large couches (no sharp corners). We'd definitely stay here again.

  • I had a hard time deciding which property to choose for my birthday weekend, and I'm so glad I chose Joseph's place! Not only were the memory foam mattresses the most comfortable sleep I've had in a long time, the house also felt like ours all weekend. This is an extremely clean, modern, and comfortable home. Great for a big group of friends or a family. Thank you Joseph for an unforgettable stay!

I love to travel and to experience difference cultures especially by visiting places I have never been to before. I try not to do the same place twice... though I must admit I've been back to Costa Rica several times. I love the weather, landscape and the people there. Life is much simpler in CR and the people enjoy it. I especially enjoy going to a country where I feel that I'm IN ANOTHER COUNTRY... I want to be a bit confused about where I am, and what I'm trying to read. I don't enjoy simply going to another Westernized locale in another country, where they've tried to make it like the United States (think- most tourist traps in Mexico). One of my favorite experiences was in Egypt: there even the street signs didn't look even remotely familiar. Since they don't use the Latin alphabet, I wasn't able to even begin to guess what anything read. I was constantly hearing Arabic spoken on the streets and shouted from the mosques (it was holy month). Even the attire is drastically different from the US. When I travel, I prefer to either go with/visit someone from that country (who speaks the language) and stay with them... and get to experience life as a local, and not as a tourist. This is my favorite thing. Then I can eat the foods, meet the people, and see how they really live. I'm both a Webmaster and an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for the Deaf. I've lived in Austin for the past 19 years. Motto: "You only live once... but if you work it right, once is enough." So, live life to it's fullest and experience as much as you can.
