About This Listing
This fully furnished apartment with one bath is conveniently located in sunny Potrero Hill, just 2 blocks from 18th street shops and restaurants. The unit is on the ground floor, has a private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, separate living, dining and office areas, bathroom with bathtub, and access to a quaint back yard.
The apartment was built as a convenient spot for grandparents and other relatives to use during their visits. Please note that while the space is usually quiet, the pitter-patter (and occasional thunk!) of our 2 young children can sometimes be heard in the unit in morning and evening hours.
Note: our apartment has lower than usual ceilings. If you are 6'2" or under, there should be no issue.

Interaction with Guests
We live upstairs. The house was built in the late 1800's - you will hear us. With your own private entrance, you have your own space. Should you need anything, we are there. If you don't, you have your privacy.
About the Potrero Hill District
Potrero Hill is one of those wonderful, undiscovered neighborhoods in our iconic city. Relatively quiet and laid back, the residential streets are unusually clean (for San Francisco ; ), and every house seems to have a small garden, flower box or tree planted out front.
Potrero Hill also boasts some of the best weather in the bay area. On the Hill, you can relax in brilliant sunshine while watching fog engulf the rest of the city. The sunny weather lends itself to another of the Hill's main attractions: the view. Many streets in Potrero offer breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the bay.
Lastly, although Potrero is probably best described as "residential", recent development activities along the waterfront have ushered in a host of new restaurants and shops along the 18th Street corridor (2 blocks away) and in the nearby Dogpatch neighborhood (6 blocks away).
If you're looking to explore other parts of the city, the unit is just a 5 minute drive to downtown and is 2-3 blocks from major MUNI bus and train lines (Bus lines 22 and 10 are both within 3 blocks; the Third Street "T" line is less than a 10 minute walk; The 22nd Street Caltrain stop to other points on the Peninsula and San Jose is 2 blocks away). There's also easy access to Interstates 101 and 280 and hassle free street parking.

Quiet after 9 PM please.
Absolutely, positively no smoking.
Please feel free to spend time in the backyard, but please remain on the ground floor level.
We loved staying here. The neighbourhood felt very safe and it was easy to park. Norm & Stacey provided great instructions and insights into the area and nearby shops, etc. The guidebooks and maps were an excellent help. The appartment was clean and very well presented. The transport links were great with bus stops within a few blocks.
Wonderful place, very nice
Use Uber for transportation.
*Excellent neighborhood, clean and safe and close to public transit
*Very clean and great bed, looks newly painted.
*Everything listed was there: fridge, fully equipped kitchen, equipped restroom, closet, etc
*Lots of REALLY valuable information listed on the fridge door, you can tell Stacey has put a lot of thought and time into making everything available and seriously impressive.
*Stacey was very communicative and helpful via text(I'm positive the phone would have been available as well but we used text most of the time) and Norm was a friendly fellow with helpful info.
Parking- cannot park for more than 2 hours between 8ish-6ish on the block the house is located on. You can park a block away and walk a very manageable distance.
none, just about flawless.
We stayed one week here. The neighbourhood is really safe and it is easy to reach downtown. I really would recommend you to have at least once breakfast at The Plow which is in 5 minuites. There are maby Informations Norm and Stacey give you. Even a city map and some sightseeing informations are available. The appartment is clean but you might know that this is an apartment in the cellar. It is very dark and there is no possibility to look out the window and see anything except from the backyard. It feels like itvis night all day in there. Furthermore it is a little bit noisy because the family lives upstairs and you can hear nearly everything We had some earplugs which made it liveable.
Really nice was the communication. We had a delay of our flight and it was no problem that we arrived at 0:30 am.
I would recommend the apartment but i think the price is a little bit to high. But in comparison with the rest of San Francisco this might be usual.
The apartment was very nice, exactly as pictured, and had everything we needed for an extended stay. I experienced a couple hiccups with the electronic communication (messages may not have been getting through), but Stacey was easily accessible by phone and was able to confirm the rest of the info I needed.
Norm and Stacey are a great host, they are very nice and helpful! My friend and I stay there for a week, we have a great experience in the apartment! The apartment is very clean and comfortable, it has everything you need when you travel to SF. The neighbourhood is safe and very convenience, it is quiet and easy to fine!

About the Host, Norm And Stacey
We spend a lot of time with our family and friends in San Francisco. Norm is an avid painter and Stacey enjoys working on school and community projects.
We love hosting people from out of the area. It is a great geography lesson for our kids. As big and diverse as San Francisco is, they learn that there is a whole wide world of people out there.
