This fully furnished apartment with one bath is conveniently located in sunny Potrero Hill, just 2 blocks from 18th street shops and restaurants. The unit is on the ground floor, has a private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, separate living, dining and office areas, bathroom with bathtub, and access to a quaint back yard.
The apartment was built as a convenient spot for grandparents and other relatives to use during their visits. Please note that while the space is usually quiet, the pitter-patter (and occasional thunk!) of our 2 young children can sometimes be heard in the unit in morning and evening hours.
Note: our apartment has lower than usual ceilings. If you are 6'2" or under, there should be no issue.
Non smokers only, no pets.

Interaction with Guests
We live upstairs. The house was built in the late 1800's - you will hear us. With your own private entrance, you have your own space. Should you need anything, we are there. If you don't, you have your privacy.
About the Potrero Hill District
Potrero Hill is one of those wonderful, undiscovered neighborhoods in our iconic city. Relatively quiet and laid back, the residential streets are unusually clean (for San Francisco ; ), and every house seems to have a small garden, flower box or tree planted out front.
Potrero Hill also boasts some of the best weather in the bay area. On the Hill, you can relax in brilliant sunshine while watching fog engulf the rest of the city. The sunny weather lends itself to another of the Hill's main attractions: the view. Many streets in Potrero offer breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the bay.
Lastly, although Potrero is probably best described as "residential", recent development activities along the waterfront have ushered in a host of new restaurants and shops along the 18th Street corridor (2 blocks away) and in the nearby Dogpatch neighborhood (6 blocks away).
If you're looking to explore other parts of the city, the unit is just a 5 minute drive to downtown and is 2-3 blocks from major MUNI bus and train lines (Bus lines 22 and 10 are both within 3 blocks; the Third Street "T" line is less than a 10 minute walk; The 22nd Street Caltrain stop to other points on the Peninsula and San Jose is 2 blocks away). There's also easy access to Interstates 101 and 280 and hassle free street parking.
Other Things to Note

Quiet after 9 PM please.
Absolutely, positively no smoking.
Please feel free to spend time in the backyard, but please remain on the ground floor level.
We had a wonderful time with Norm and Stacey! The description is completely accurate, and the place was wonderful. Very clean, space heater if you're cold at night, great bedding and safe neighbourhood. We loved the proximity to 18th street (sandwiches at Hazels and coffee at Farleys) and it was easy to get to the MUNI system. There are gym options within walking distance as well. Would definitely recommend!
This is a fantastic little place - look no further! The apartment is clean, comfortable (the bed, I must say, is incredibly comfortable!), warm, and all the appliances work well. Definitely enough space for a couple staying for a 2 week visit.
Norm and Stacey are lovely people and really went out of their way to help.
For any readers unfamiliar with SF, Potrero Hill is easily overlooked but may be one of the best neighborhoods. It has lots to offer by way of food and drink, coffee, and is very quiet with great views. Car parking is much easier than in many neighborhoods. It's also very convenient for accessing the Peninsular - Caltrain and Hwy 280 are literally a couple of blocks away (no noise reaches the apartment). I lived in SF for a few years in the 2000s and I try to stay in Potrero Hill whenever I come back. I'd definitely stay at Norm and Stacey's again.
My parents stayed with Norm and Stacy for a week. They were very welcoming and accommodating, my parents had a great time! The apartment is very pretty and spacious (though a bit dark), and has plenty of recommendations for what to do around town and the neighborhood. I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone visiting SF!
Norm and Stacey were great. The house was exactly as it appears in the pictures. I was very comfortable during the stay. I would definitely stay there again.
Staying at Stacey's house was very comfortable and easy. She was very smily and supportive even if I requested something in last minute. The house was very clean, located in quite area and you can have nice view for sunrise at morning and city lights at evening if you walk a few steps from her house. I had good sleep too since the bed was perfect and has less lights to bother your sleep.
I truly enjoyed my stay with Norm and Stacey they were very kind and helpful.
Their place was super cozy very private and with everything you need. If you walk half a block you will see one the most stunning views of San Francisco. Perfect place to enjoy the best of Potrero hills, one of my favorite neighborhoods in S.F.
Thank you Norm & Stacey!
I had a great stay here in this apartment! The apartment is clean, beautifully decorated and spacious and perfectly located for catching the Caltrain. The kitchen and bathroom had everything I needed and the apartment was quiet and private. I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Norm and Stacey!

We spend a lot of time with our family and friends in San Francisco. Norm is an avid painter and Stacey enjoys working on school and community projects.
We love hosting people from out of the area. It is a great geography lesson for our kids. As big and diverse as San Francisco is, they learn that there is a whole wide world of people out there.
