Rent one or two rooms in a large apartment in the historical city center. There are one double bedroom (29 euro/day) with a lovely balcony and one single room (19 euro/day). I occupy the third room. We share the kitchen, the bathroom and the living room. There is also a spacious balcony in the kitchen where you can have your morning coffee or pick figs from a nearby fig tree that grows in the backyard. There is a public garage near the apartment and all the main city sights and bus stops are close by. If you wish, traditional Croatian breakfast can be served. Free wireless internet is included.
Here you can book the single bedroom (19 euro/day), if you want a double bedroom (29 euro/day) go to my other listing.
Rijeka is a port town which doesn't mean that is a blank industrial town. It preserved its marine charm, hidden in its streets. It has its own share of historic buildings including religious structures like several churches and justly making it a pilgrimage destination as well. The older part of the harbor is where most of the tourist attractions are located. Overall the natural beauty and the Old Quarter's quaint streets, architectural attractions, and the grand buildings make it a beautiful destination.
Make yourself comfortable and leave the place like you found it. And come again!
It was a relaxed time at Dragica´s Home. It´s in the heart of the city center and in the near of the main bus station.
I stay for 4 nights in March 2015 and there were no problems.
Direct after arriving she told me about some good restaurants, night clubs and places of interest. Alongside she marked it all on a map and gave it to me.
toilet/shower/warm water: top
kitchen: top (I was allowed to partake of Dragicas´s food, thanks for this :)
Own key: top
And I had my slack periods, when I want them.
Thanks for that good time!
Dragica is a super host! She does everything to make you feel at home (she even made like super-nice snacks 1nce!). Her apartment is absolutely amazing! She has got like really cool "old school", antique, furniture everywhere, which I think fits the apartment really well! Dragica knows everything about Rijeka and the places which you will have to go and visit. She offers a map and inside information when it comes to, for instance (local food) restaurants and stuff. She is, I guess, one of the best Airbnb-hosts around. The location of the apartment is perfect, in the center of Rijeka and close to everything!
I would really recommend this one, it's definitely the best Airbnb-option in and around the Rijeka area! Thanks for everything Dragica! :)
I had a perfect stay with Dragica. Dragica is so nice and gave us so many touristic tips: where to eat ,what to see, how to get there.
The house was historical and in the city center.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Thanks for everything.
The apartment is housed in an old building in the old town and is very accessible to almost everything. The bus stop is just steps away, and you can easily connect to the coastal sights at Opatija, Volosko, Lovran at the bus stop nearby. Dragging up large luggage up the two floor staircase is a bit of challenge but Dragica was very kind to help me with it. She is very helpful, informative and provide me with suggestions on what to see and where to eat, and patient to answer my questions on Rijeka and Croatia. I would definitely stay again.
Dragica's place was great. I'd definitely recommend it. It's an amazing location, just a block from the main street and only a 10 minute walk from the main bus station.
The room was modest but had everything I needed and I found the single bed plenty comfortable. There was also a nice window seat ad plenty of open floor space. I stayed on the weekend and on Friday it was a bit loud on the street outside. Nothing too outrageous, quieter than some of the hostels I've been in.
Dragica was a great host- she provided me with great map of town and recommendations of things to see and place to eat.
This was an amazing location with an amazing host. Beautiful old building in the best part of the city and great recommendations from Dragica about what to do and where to eat. I'll stay here again if I'm back in town.
Let this be clear from the outset: Dragica's apartment is not a 5 star hotel: the house is old, the beds squeek with each turn, there is no sink in the bathroom (only a bathtub) and you have to be careful not to burn your fingers when you try to light the fire on the cooker. And yet all these inconveniences seem irrelevant once you get to know Dragica, the most helpful, kind and witty airbnb host I met so far. Staying at her place is a true airbnb experience with access to the fridge (jams, butter, milk) and other basic food as well as tea and coffee. Her flat offers wonderful mornings on the kitchen balcony overlooking the old town, and possible interaction with other guests. Last but not least, Dragica speaks excellent English. If you are looking for the real airbnb experience do stay at her apartment, it's worth more than a 5 star hotel.
