- NOTE: Access to this home requires 3 stairs and additional stairs to reach the 2nd-floor bedrooms which may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. However, there is a full bathroom with a shower grab rail, queen sleeper sofa, and air mattress available on the 1st floor
- NOTE: While 4-wheel drive is recommended in the winter months, there’s easy paved access to the home's completely flat driveway on Independence Pass. In addition, snow removal is outstanding in the village of Twin Lakes
- NOTE: Before you get here, please be aware that we’re at an elevation of 10,000 feet. If you’re coming from sea level, think about spending a night or two at a lower elevation to get acclimated. Altitude sickness is real and serious. Be sure to hydrate lots and limit alcohol and caffeine consumption, as they can make it worse. If you’re not used to the elevation, oxygen cans can be bought at drug stores or sporting goods stores that may help
- NOTE: The family room fireplace is decorative only and not available for guest use
- NOTE: No commercial business activity is permitted on the property
- NOTE: The property does not have air conditioning
- NOTE: Please do not move beds nor furniture, to prevent damage to furniture, flooring, and avoid repair assessments
- NOTE: As we are on a rural septic system, please do not put any grease down the drains, and utilize the labeled grease jar in the kitchen
- NOTE: Your safety matters. This property features a Ring doorbell device with an exterior security camera facing the front outdoor entry. The camera does not look into any interior spaces. The camera actively records video and sound when motion is detected by the device (including devices linked to the camera such as the alarm system’s motion detector) or when the video doorbell button is pressed
