The main building to see ist "la bonne mère", Notre Dame de la Garde at the top of the hill with a very nice vue to the sea and the island around Marseille.
Very near is the basilique Saint Victor (by Vieux Port), very nice church.
Very near is a public parc "le jardin de la colonne" with a nice and frendly restaurant and a place to play for the children .
Internet, waschmachine, réfrigérateur, freezer, electric cook place (induction), you can have legos for the children...!

Interaction with Guests
We love to invite to have a drink and to schau Marseille from our balcony with a very nice vue auf le Vieux Port!
small boutiques, bars, very typical old residential area.
Quite a lot of busses at 5 min walk from the place.
A direct bus connection from Notre Dame de la Garde (5 min walk from our place) to the Mucem (new museum).
Not smoking place!
Calm that's all!
My daughter and I went to Marseilles with her 3 year old son Nathan. We found the apartment easily but the Metro is not buggy friendly! Nice location on a hill with views over the city. Good playpark near. Claire is lovely and went to a lot of trouble to identify things to do with a child and even brought a large box of Lego for Nathan to play with. Flat is basic but practical. Stairs were a bit difficult with a small child. Shopping is near but everything involves going up and down hill! Recommend 3 day public transport pass for 10.80 Euro. Don't recommend hiring a car which spoilt our last day. The city is a nightmare to navigate and we found the motorway to the airport closed at 5am. Sorely tested our relationship.
Claire was such a lovely host, one of the best! She is a thoughtful and cheery person who made sure that I had everything I needed for my stay. Communication and check in was very easy. The apartment has everything you need, including a fabulous view at sunset! The bed was comfortable and the apartment clean. When checking out I went upstairs and had a morning coffee with Claire's husband Mishel. A great Airbnb experience and I highly recommend staying here. I hope to go again! Thank you Claire and Mishel!
The flat is located on a nice cosy street, with a breathtaking view overlooking the city and the sea, just as shown in the photos. Claire was very welcoming on our arrival. She met us at the door, showed us around the flat, and even offered lots of suggestions for places to go in the area and interesting sites not-to-be-missed in Marseille. Our favorite tip from her was to watch the sunset from the Notre Dame de la Garde- it was gorgeous!
We enjoyed our stay there immensely and would recommend it to others.
Claire and her husband Michele were great hosts. I only booked the day before we arrived and Claire was very quick with responding and setting everything up for my stay. The apartment itself is in a beautiful location, and close walking distance to just about everything. The sea view from the kitchen and living room is amazing! We were able to find everything we needed in the kitchen, and they have a great stove top for cooking. Claire provides a multitude of maps, brochures, and guidebooks for Marseille and the rest of France. This was really a great stay and a great find. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit this amazing city and to stay in a lovely apartment with a sea and garden view with everything you could possibly need.
10/10 would stay again.
Accueil chaleureux et ponctuel, Claire nous a bien informé sur la ville par ses explications et les documents mis à disposition;
l'appartement est conforme aux photos, calme et idéalement placé a proximité du vieux port; il vaut mieux ne pas avoir a utiliser sa voiture dans Marseille, ville vivante et attrayante !!
merci à Claire;
