It was great! I had a really good time in the place, trust me, I'm being fair. They really know what means to be new in NYC, they try to help you with everything, explaining directions, with problems I had to face, I was not expecting that good welcoming. The pace is min away to the subway (Ralph Av) 3 min on foot from the supermarket and just across the street there is a grocery store-hours opened where you can find everything, the laundry is also I'll say.... 2 min walking. I felt safe all time and they gave me all the facilities I wanted and and they really took care about whether I was comfortable or not, "Carmen, make yourself comfortable" is one of the sentences I have listened the most during these day. The place is clean, Cherry's mother (who is one of the nicest people I've meet in NY) cleans every week all house. They give you sheets and towels and they even change and clean them. They have a big TV that you can always use and nice conversation, I really felt like at home and It is something that people needs when is new in NY. About the price, I think it is so fair, I have been in others friend's places and they pay much more for smaller or dirty places so I think they offer a good rate quality-price. I hope I have help you with my opinion, good luck with the apartment search!!!
The neighbourhood is absolutely fine, a few good amenities nearby and it's definitely safe around. The apartment is around the corner from Ralph Ave metro station, C line, that takes you to Manhattan in 20 minutes, plus it's not far from Bushwick, a very interesting and fashionable area of Brooklyn (basically the next Williamsburg), and from Prospect park.
I stayed at Cherry-Ann's apartment for almost 3 months as I was doing an internship in Williamsburg. The roomies (including the host) have been always nice to me and available for anything I asked for. The room is good size and the apartment in general is very clean and tidy.
The host even agreed to let a friend of mine to stay with me in my bedroom for 5 nights without extra charge, so kind of her! Moreover, as I decided to change and postpone my flight back to Europe, she charged me very very little for 12 more days, which is something that says a lot about Cherry-Ann, who's always been friendly and respectful towards me.
I do recommend this apartment as it's cheap and it has easy access to the metro (very good if visiting indeed), and the host and the roomies are just amazing people. I certainly had a great time in NYC and if I will come back I will certainly ask for this room again
Vivre avec Cherry ann a été un réel plaisir , elle est attentionnée . J'y retournerai sans Hésiter , j'ai adoré les trois mois
