It is just 15 minutes to Central London and less than 10 minutes to Bank - there is a tube across the street and dozens of buses at your door that will take you all over London. There is also a shopping mall across the street with a grocery store and pharmacy as well as a few close by restaurants so you have everything you need at your door.
It's an ideal location and convenient for exploring all parts of London ensuring you are never too far from home wherever your are in London!
I couldn't have asked for a better 2 week stay! The apartment is exactly what it looks like in the photos, very clean and fully equipped with everything you need (microwave, pots, pans, hairdryer). The building is very easy to find and right across the street from Elephant & Castle station. There is a grocery store and other shopping outlets available across the street as well.
I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting London wether it be for a short or long period of time.
We spent about 10 days in Rafael's apartment in April 2014 and enjoyed every minute of it. The apartment is cosy, new, modern, well equipped and maintained and is full of light (external walls are all glass, with an impressive view of southern London). Tube and train stations are near by and the distance from the heart of London is short. Rafael is more than helpful and welcoming. In short, we will definitely consider returning to Rafael's apartment in our next visit to London, but with ratings as ours it might well be already booked...
What a fantastic stay. Rafael was incredibly helpful and the space was as advertised - clean, comfortable, lots of little amenities, great modern building with a concierge and helpful staff, and centrally located. We were a 15 minute walk from the London "Eye", steps from the Elephant and Castle underground, 20 or so minutes from Soho. Very slightly off the beaten path but it suited us fine, and made us feel like true Londoners....and nice to have a place to retreat to amongst the energetic bustle of the city.
The flat was modern, clean, great kitchen and fridge, coffee machines and lots of light - what more could you ask for? Rafael checked in with us several times and offered suggestions in the area and was more than willing to point us in the right direction for anything we needed.
Great stay - and hope we can book there again.
Staying at Rafael's flat was a great experience for us. The place is super modern, clean and has an impressive view over London. Its big windows give it a spacious feel beyond its square-meters.
Rafael (email hidden): he left the key for us downstairs and was good at communicating before, during and after our stay.
The area of Elephant and Castle is well connected and has two tube lines and several busses leaving just outside the apartment. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Picadilly Circus.
Rafael is an absolute excellent host. He was very insisting on my gf and i asking him questions and he is very prompt at responding. As my gf lived in London previously, we didnt have too many questions for him.
The apartment is absolutely perfect for 2 people. I worked for a few days out of the apartment on my laptop and found the internet to be extremely fast and reliable. The building is extremely new and clean and has 24 hour concierge/doorman which is nice and made us feel safe. The tube and great bus system is practically at the doorstep to the apartment which made getting everywhere in London and absolute breeze. I will definitely stay here again when coming to London.
As an added bonus - there is a Nandos around the corner. What is Nandos you may ask?! only the best Peuravian chicken ever. It's delicious and a perfect lunch spot. There is a nice gym a 15 min walk away as well which is an added bonus.
Great experience all around!
This is a fabulous apartment on the 12th floor with a great view of London. Probably one of the best views one may get.
The apartment is great for 2 with everything at hand, neat and tidy, located a few minutes walk from the tube station and bus stops. Bicycle station is available just outside the building.
I stayed at Rafael's place for one month for business and it was excellent! His place is well connected and only a 1 min walk from the underground station and bus stops so it would only take me 10 minutes to the city and 20 min to canary wharf. Also there is a small mall across the road with a Supermarket, pharmacy and a few restaurants so you don't have to go far if you need something or want a quick bite to eat. The area doesn't have heaps of things to do right outside (apart from the Ministry of Sound :D) but only 1 stop away is borough market and all of the pubs in southwark/London bridge area.
The apartment is very stylishly furnished and comfortable in a large, modern apartment building and has all of the necessary appliances. It's extremely comfortable and everything is top quality.
Rafael as a host is extremely friendly and checking in and out was a breeze, with a concierge downstairs making it feel very much like a hotel. He helped me find a gym, arranged for a weekly cleaner and gave me some great ideas for places to eat and go out. He even went out and found a fan for the apartment when it got too hot!
All in all I loved the stay and would recommend it to anyone to stay either for long or short term. I would definitely go again!
Rafael's place was a terrific choice, and my wife and I were super happy everything worked out. As others have mentioned, it's in a terrific location. Elephant and Castle tube and rail station is literally a block away, and there's a bunch of stuff around, including grocery stores and bus stops that will take you all over London. The neighborhood felt very safe with lots of commuters and college students, even when it was late.
We managed to be staying there in the midst of one of the hottest weeks of the year, and the only knock on the place was that it was hot, and stayed hot. Having lived in London before, this is most likely not an issue the rest of the year. The only other drawback is noise fron the railway, which is caddy corner to the building. If you're like us though, you'll tune it out after your first night.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. You could certainly stay a bit further into downtown London, but it's still quite close, and can get you into the center of it all in just a few minutes.
We found that Rafael is very organized and professional to work with and we would rent from him again in a minute! The apartment is modern ( 3 years old), good water pressure, nice size for 2 people (maybe 3), secure, full of light and well kept. All the appliances worked, except for the dryer, but that's inherent to the type of dryer. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 day stay.
The location for tourists is excellent, you're right at Elephant & Castle which has a National train line, 2 tube lines ( Bakerloo and Northern) and about 30 busses. If you're planning on being out sightseeing all day, this is an excellent rental. There's a Tesco and some other grocery stores in the sketchy-looking-but-really-not-too-bad mall across the street. The neighborhood isn't picturesque, but it's colorful working class and student types. It'(email hidden) to leave from and get back to, but not a neighborhood to hang out in. I would recommend renting this apartment of long tourist stays.
You do get some train noise if you have the windows open, but , you're in the middle of a crowded city, there's always some sort of noise.
Great stylish and clean apartment with a great view centrally located close to the Elephant & Castle metro (Bakerloo line). Rafael, the host, was professional and the building's concierge service (where I picked up the keys) made it pretty close to feel like a high end apartment rental.
