(Also free access to our gym if desired) You'll also have your own a private bath.
Free wi-fi and plenty of free parking. There is a bus to DT portland that runs several times a day for $3.50. Our sleepy little town is right on the Columbia River.
If you'd like to rent both rooms, the price is $100/night.
In addition to private bedroom and bath guests will have access to our entertainment room upstairs, and the kitchen for coffee/bagels or toast in the am if desired. Laundry is available for a nominal charge if needed.
Interaction with Guests
We will be available to answer any questions a guest may have before or during your stay. We will always be home when we have guests, but will always respect their privacy. We will interact as much or as little as each guest prefer.
We love our quiet neighborhood, and our sleepy little town of St. Helens. We boast the original filming of Twilight was partially shot in our downtown area, including Bella's first home with her dad. The downtown area near the river has some great antique stores, and small locally operated shops and restaurants.
Public transportation is available throughout columbia county, and also into downtown Portland several times a day. See "Columbia County Rider" if interested in their schedule and fees.
Other Things to Note
A coffee/tea service can be provided in your room or the entertainment room if requested. There is a refrigerator in the garage that guests may use if they require it.
No smoking inside home. No guests allowed in the home without prior consent.
Janet's home was clean, comfortable and welcoming. She and her husband were there when I arrived and made sure I had everything I needed. They have two dogs who are both very nice. They allowed me access to their kitchen. I had my own bathroom. I had a very wonderful stay.
Janet was extremely friendly and prompt with responses to any questions. The house is lovely and located on a very nice residential street. I felt very safe the entire time I was there. Janet and her husband are at home most of the time, but I had all the privacy I wanted. My room and bathroom were great, I had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Janet has two very friendly dogs, and though they were excited to greet me they were well behaved and I was never bothered by them. I did a lot of Twilight oriented site seeing, and Janet's home is a great home-base for such exploration.
the king bed is the most comfortable airbnb bed i have ever slept in! i arrived late and was leaving early and Janet was very helpful and accommodating. i had my own bathroom which was clean and i had a hot water maker for my tea and everything i needed to be comfortable. i recommend Janet's if you are in the area and needing a good place to stay.
Hi this is the second occasion I have had to stay Airnb. The first being couple months ago. The location is perfect for my visits to my parents, family. I felt very comfortable, welcomed, even on short notice. Would highly recommend them.
I had been following this business for awhile after hearing an article on NPR.These hosts were a perfect introduction to the program. Was a little apprehensive about showing about at stranger's house...but for naught! An emergency visit to St. Helen's arose and presented me with this opportunity to search for an alternative abode from family or Hotels. They were so accommodating and bonus of location of their welcoming home literally few minutes from my sister's house! Love my family, but so nice to have your very own accommodations to retire too! These hosts have set the "Bar" high for other hosts. I am looking forward to more adventures!

My husband and I own 3 athletic clubs. We are very active, and enjoy all types of excercise. We have 2 dogs, both non-shedding, non-allergenic that are very much a part of our life. We also love to travel. Most recently we returned from a cruise to Russia and Scandanavia. We have grown kids who live out of state and are proud grandparents as well. I love to cook, and we both appreciate all types of music, which we play throughout the home on our stereo system.
We hope our guests feel free to "do their own thing entirely" or to ask for suggestions, borrow our bikes, go on a hike with us or share a meal with us. We plan to tailor the way we host around each individual guest(s).
