Considerate behaviour and savoir-faire. This is a family flat with young children.
Okay. Rather an unwelcoming start, as it was made clear that the host did not want someone who would be around during the day.
The communication with Amelia was great, quick and responsive and the key exchange very easy. The room is small but accurate to the picture. Its very cosy and warm but the bed is quite small. It was fine for me as I'm 5ft 5 but anyone taller may be a little cramped.
The kitchen and bathroom were big but not as clean as I would expect. The room was in a garden flat under the hosts property and unfortunately the sound of the family did travel from the upstairs apartment which was loud at times during the day ( evenings were quiet)
The location of the flat is perfect, 5 mins walk to Camden Town and great access to the rest of London.
Amelia was the ideal hostess. The room in her house was cozy with a very comfortable bed and hot shower; the location of the home - very near to the tube and shops - was quite convenient. I especially appreciated help with retrieving my delayed luggage, borrowing an adapter for my phone, and even use of a raincoat for a trip to the park! I would highly recommend this accommodation for other travelers, especially independent female travelers who appreciate a homey space.
Malcolm was very friendly and helpful, that the room was very comfortable. The shower and facilities were clean and to a very good standard. The location is very handy for Camden. A short walk to the tube, yet sufficiently distant so as to be a very pleasant, quiet street. I would happily return.
Small but lovely room in a large flat. The decor and furnishings are stylish and unique, the household friendly and laidback. It's very handy for the centre of Camden, but in a peaceful and tranquil environment. Many thanks to Malcolm and Amelia for sharing their home.

About the Host, Amelia
I'm a Mother of 3 - I'm charming, active, empathetic, and helpful. I've got a small bed room on the garden floor in our family 2-floor flat in Camden , and a family house in France that we rent out on a weekly basis at certain times of year.
My husband is a schoolteacher and my father, Malcolm, who lives on the lower floor of the flat , is a decorator/designer, also helps with the lettings and looks after the guests.
