Julia was a great host. Responded really quickly to any enquiries we had. And had good tips on places to eat and day walks in Rome.
Julia was a wonderful host - she was very welcoming and made us feel right at home, including some very helpful tips of what to see while in Rome and the best places to go in the neighborhood. She sent us to her favorite restaurant (about 50 feet from the apartment), told us exactly what to order and even helped us get a table. It ended up being our favorite meal of our entire trip.
As others have stated, this place is in a good location for visiting all the central points of Rome. At night there are many small trattoria's open with locals and tourists alike having dinner. Personally I would avoid going to the main road for any food as the prices are high and they are tourist traps.
The street the apartment is on is very picturesque, lots of decorations and things growing everywhere. The small streets made you feel like you were living like the Romans do.
There is the electric bus stop nearby, 2 mins walk, that can take you to all the touristy places.
As far as the room itself it is spacious enough for 2 people. We were able to cook food and wash clothes which is perfect. There was coffee and tea provided. These things were rare in other places we stayed. Everything seems updated. Very clean inside. Air conditioning works very well. The other apartment owners were friendly. Just beware you do need to walk up about 2 flights of stairs.
We would definitely stay here again.
The very best aspect of this apartment is the location. It is on the "other" side of Trastevere that isn't overrun with tourists and street peddlers. There are amazing restaurants and the best cocktail bar (Niji) just around the corner. Julia was very good at communicating and booked a private taxi to pick us up at our hotel near the airport. The driver even brought our luggage up the 2 flights of stairs and into the apartment upon arrival. The A/C in the apartment was a welcome relief from the sweltering August heat outside. There wasn't a TV as indicated in the pictures and listing, but we didn't care about it and made it known to our host so that she could update her listing. There is what looks like a router extender in the room so we did have wi-fi but it was sometimes slow or intermittent. Keep in mind that this apartment is connected to her apartment via a connecting door and closet. It wasn't lockable on our side but we had no issues with safety or concern since it was all her place. The shower is huge with ample hot water and pressure and it was great having a washing machine/dryer combo. There is a large supermarket Coin in the basement of the OVS department store on the main street, which was about a 10 minute walk from the apartment; however, we didn't cook much as there were so many restaurants nearby. It was also convenient in walking distance to all the sites such as Piazza Navona, Pantheon, and the Roman Forum.
Un lugar ideal para pasar unos días en Roma. El barrio es encantador, el apartamento muy fresco, tranquilo y céntrico. Todo funcionó a la perfección para nosotros. Muy recomendable.

About the Host, Julia
My international background and education luckily led to the creation of unusual bonds with people from all over the globe. For this, I was often granted the outstanding opportunity to "feel home away from home" and - just like Miss Gilbert - traveling soon turned out to be "the great true love of my life..."
When I travel, I want to go beyond the hotel chains or standard guidebooks. I want to feel what the internet is unable to transmit. For a few days, I want to read the reality of a city and its inhabitants; live how they live, go where they go, eat what they eat, drink what they drink...To me, that is what adds meaning to traveling, thus it is the meaning I like to add to those who travel!
