What a wonderful stay! The perfect house for a family getaway. The house was as described, walking distance to the small Kittery town, and a slightly longer (but beautiful) walk across the bridge to Portsmouth. Esther was very communicative! Would highly recommend to friends traveling in the area. The only thing I wish I'd noticed when reviewing the house before booking was that there was no central A/C, and of course we ended up with a few brutally hot days on our stay - but once again that's on me for not reading the house description as carefully as I should have for an August trip!
Esther was an excellent host in every way. Her home is beautiful and spotless. She answered all of my queries immediately.
Beds were really comfy and linens and towels were soft and luxe. We are a family of four with 2 teens aged 16 and 18. We all loved the house...peaceful and comfortable and had everything you could want.
We tried pretty much all of the restaurants in that little neighbourhood and were not disappointed! It is hip and trendy. Food was excellent all around. We enjoyed the beach at York Harbor very much and it is just a short drive away.
Great little spot! So glad we were able to find this place. We really had a great time!
Wow we were blown away by this beautiful home and all the small touches that made it cosy, comfortable and convenient. Esther couldn't do enough to help us even offering to buy an AC on a particularly hot day- we were perfectly cool with the fans but appreciated the offer. Kittery is hip and pretty and the house is in striking distance of everything we wanted to do. This place is the gold standard of Air BnB- thanks Esther for a wonderful trip.
Esther's home is wonderful!! Perfectly sized and quaint, with great modern upgrades. Beds and towels were new and nice, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The backyard was great as well, perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the mild weather. We were exceedingly comfortable on our girl's weekend away!
Not being too familiar with the area, Kittery turned out to be a great location - close enough to explore Portsmouth, Portland, and smaller coastal towns.
We had a fantastic stay in Esther's Maine Seacoast Cape! It is an adorable gem of a Cape Cod style home...perfectly appointed and with everything we needed to be comfortable. The backyard is a fantastic plus and Esther does a wonderful job keeping the flowers beautiful and the grounds maintained. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for properties in this area and would absolutely stay here again if we come back to the area. It is perfectly located if you want to spend time in Portsmouth or anywhere in the southern Maine coast.
Estie's home is very warm and welcoming. The decor is lovely. The street is quiet and the home was exceptionally comfortable, clean and had all of the amenities we could ask for. Cute small town too!
A very nicely presented house which was in an excellent location for exploring Maine. Everything was there that was needed and the house was presented to a very high standard. Thank you so much for hosting us. Freddie, Laura, Alex and Jenna.
About the Host, Esther
I bought this house a few years ago and have enjoyed renovating and improving it piece by piece. I am a teacher, so I am fortunate to have the summer to travel. I love seeing other parts of the country and traveling internationally, although believe I live in one of the most beautiful places in our country. The seacoast of Maine is magical, especially in the summer. The beaches, restaurants, shopping, hiking, biking, boating, and the local art venues are spectacular. Kittery, Maine is what we call the new "Brooklyn". A minute over the bridge from Portsmouth, NH, it's an up and coming neighborhood with great food, art, spas and shopping. I LOVE living here and would be happy to share my home so that others can experience all that it has to offer.
