This charming apartment is finely decorated with antique and contemporary art and furniture.
It is composed by a master bedroom with king size bed, a very big living/dining room with a double sofa-bed, a wide entrance with a double sofa bed, bathroom with tub and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave.
The apartment is totally surrounded by trees and gardens and is very quiet and bright.
The building is really nice and dates back to the 20s, it also has an elevator.
The area (Trastevere) is one of the nicest of the centre and it's famous for its fascinating ancient streets and the great choice of traditional restaurants and lively cafes. Supermarkets, groceries, open air market are all at close walking distance. The building is located in via Filippo Casini, a nice residential street.
The neighbourhood is very safe. It is convenient for public transportation and you would get very quickly and easily everywhere. It is also pleasant to walk to the main sites of interest, as you would cross many nice places in the ancient centre.
Paolo's apartment was a great base for exploring Trastevere during our ten day stay in Rome. The area is vibrant and busy, but the apartment is a quiet haven for recovering from a day's sightseeing.
We were warmly welcomed by Carmen, who showed us all we needed to know about the amenities. The apartment itself is very stylish, but we also found it a home away from home with many personal touches and interesting objets d'art to enjoy. Thanks for a wonderful visit.
We loved our time in Paolo's flat in Teastevere! Paolo is a great host--friendly, available--very warm and professional. The apartment is lovely--and the pictures do not do it justice! There is light, a nice view of the lovely street, comfortable beds (my son slept on the extra bed) and plenty of hot water in the shower/bath. But mostly, it's the tall ceilings, french doors, Paolo's artistic design aesthetic that make this place so special. It's easy to get everywhere from here--by bus, taxi or walking--and there are many restaurants nearby as well.
We had a wonderful time staying in Paolo's gorgeous apartment. It is really spacious with incredible high ceilings and beautiful wooden floors. The listing description was accurate - plus, the aircon was good too!
The Trastevere neighbourhood is a very pleasant part of Rome. The street itself was quiet and residential so it was perfect for us to come back to after sight-seeing during the day. There are also loads of great bars and restaurants about 5 minutes walk away.
Paolo was always quick to respond to our emails and was very helpful regarding what to do once we arrived in Rome. He answered our call at the airport and sent his personal assistant, Carmen, to meet us at the apartment. Carmen made us feel very welcomed and helped us out with directions and use of the public transportation. She even arranged for a car to take us to the airport at the end of our visit.
Paolo's apartment is delightful! It's a respite located on a beautiful tree lined street just a short walk from the heart of the Trastevere. It was the perfect place to relax and sip an aperitivo after shopping the morning markets.
Check in was easy. Paolo arranged for Carmen to meet us at the apartment with the keys. She was very kind and gave us some helpful neighborhood tips.
