About this listing
In the heart of Etna Natural Park and only 20 minutes away from the wonderful beaches of Taormina, I Due Castagni is a sicily villa rental, ideal place for a holiday in the country, without losing out on the wonderful Sicilian Sea. With the volcano on one side and the coast on the other, the view you can enjoy from your home is really unique and unforgettable.
Immersed in the fresh and quiet countryside, and away from any crowded beaches noise, our guests can enjoy our residence at the sea in Taormina and its private beach, only 30 km from the villa. I Due Castagni is a villa rental in Sicily up to 6 persons.
The early Nineteenth Century house was originally a ‘palmento’ where grapes were pressed. The stately wooden winepress in the hall bears witness to the fascinating history of the place and area, still renowned for its wines today.
The large hall on the ground floor with the winepress welcomes you. The stone fireplace and the dining room under the vaults where the must was kept create a warm and comfortable environment. Still on the ground floor there is a large and equipped kitchen, as well as a bathroom.
Going up stairs, the studio on the first floor the old floor in volcanic stone is preserved intact, and is ideal for a relaxing moment dedicated to reading.
From the cherry wood landing the rooms are accessed: two double rooms with sea views and views over the vineyards, another room facing the Volcano, and a bathroom too.
Continuing on the first floor you can sit on the covered balcony, furnished with a table, chairs and a hammock where you can rock and perhaps admire the garden and the sea or just enjoy the fresh nights observing the stairs.
