Lovely space, and perfect location for us, near family, and with lots of great eating nearby. We were able to adjust our arrival time for much earlier in the day, and that worked perfectly. Location for catching train into Manhattan could not be better and on top of that the apartment was oh so quiet! Will plan to return when the snow is gone from the garden!
We really liked the inside of the space. It had the original floors and lots of character. The listing stated "flexible" check-in and check-out but when I inquired, I found there was not much flexibility. When the wireless internet did not work, the owner was unable to assist and we had some challenges with making plans without internet available.
Perfect location for us near family and a short walk to the great shops on 5th Ave. Carlo was a wonderful host and we can't wait to stay again!
We loved staying here and highly recommend it. It is a great location, near the subway so quick into Manhatten & near the great restaurants and bars in Park Slope, Brooklyn but most importantly it has the three criteria I always seek in a rental: great heating (it's lovely and cosy and warm), a fab shower with plenty of hot water & a bed thats so so comfortable we could sleep for hours & oh, did we say it's ever so quiet...also a sweet garden which we did not use as we stayed in December. Finally, for a wonderful cab company to get you to the airport we used (website hidden) and we had a great ride in a spotless car with a friendly driver.
We had a wonderful time at the House on 11th Street. The place suited us perfectly: the neighbourhood is friendly and relaxed; the apartment was charming and welcoming. We would recommend the House on 11th for those seeking a retreat from the noise of Manhattan.
We had a great stay at the apartment on 11th Street. It is wonderfully decorated and Annette was good to communicate with. I would love to stay here in the spring so that we can eat outside. The neighborhood is great with many restaurants and stores nearby. There were also nice playgrounds near the apartment. Thanks YOU!
House on 11th st is a great location and we enjoyed our 5 night stay. We were able to walk and enjoy the neighborhood. The place is clean. There were a couple of shortcomings for us. ( My daughter and i) There is no closet space for hanging clothes except for an
Antique armoire in the bedroom approx 30"
Across, the fridge is a charming antique and im not sure how cold
It really gets, we had difficulty with turning down the temp on the AC and the bedroom is located in the back. There is a ceiling fan and a standing fan.
I have allergies and cant sleep under a fan . We felt safe enough
To open the back door for cool
Air. Theres a lovely garden in the back and carlo is a very helpful and gracious host.
I would stay again in the fall or spring.
We stayed at Annette and Carlos's place for our friends wedding last week. The apartment was just perfect! Carlos was a lovely host staying up to greet us and show us around after our late flight into the city. We had never stayed in Brooklyn before and can honestly say we all loved it more than Manhattan! We cannot recommend the apartment to everyone! We loved it!
This is a brilliant flat in what is probably the coziest neighborhood in all of New York. There are tons of things to do, see, eat and drink nearby and the subway is literally just around the corner. Carlo and Annette were both very helpful and welcoming. We simply had a great stay.
This was my first experience renting on airb&b and it was an absolute perfect choice! I LOVED the apartment! Beyond charming, great taste, amazing energy & very homey. I honestly didn't want to leave. I will definitely be renting this apartment again during my next visit. Annette & Carlo are the perfect hosts.
