About This Listing
If you're looking for a beautiful flat full of light with a terrace, a fireplace, woodfloors and wood beams in a pedestrian street in the heart of Saint Germain des prés, this is the place.
My lovely apartment is located in the fantastic neighborhood of Saint-Germain-Des-Prés, right next to the Luxembourg Gardens and Odéon.
Here you can go have a hot chocolate at Café de Flore or do some shopping at Le Bon Marché or just take a stroll along the river and end up ten minutes later before Le Louvre.
With its wooden floors, apparent beams and its charming view over the roofs you'll feel like a true parisian while you stay here.
The apartment is on the 5th floor of a 19th century building equipped with a brand new elevator. It's very bright and you can enjoy your breakfast on the flowered terrace or a late drink while admiring the pink sky and the steeple of the Eglise Saint Germain.
There's one bedroom with a queen size bed, a Napoléon's desk and two large windows giving on a quite and bright courtyard.
The bathroom is provided with fresh towels and has a bathtub and a shower. In the livingroom you'll find two large windows which give on the terrace which is just above a pedestrian street.
I hope you'll love my parisian nest as much as I do!
Olivia was a very kind host. We spent a very good time in her charming and quaint flat on the roof of elegant building in the heart of Paris. We hope to return back as soon as we can. Thanks Olivia!
The apartment was just perfect for what we were looking for. It had everything we needed, was very comfortable, and had a nice terrace to sit out on an overlook the Paris rooftops. The location is absolutely perfect. You are so close to everything, and are far enough away from all the noise that it is perfectly quiet while still being in the center of everything. Olivia was incredibly easy to deal with and was also very prompt answering any questions. We couldn't recommend this place high enough! Wonderful, wonderful trip.
Olivia wasn't there to greet us as she had to work away, but she made good arrangements for us to get access to the apartment which was tidy, uncluttered and pretty clean. A decent but compact lift got us up to the 5th floor. Olivia had also helpfully typed out some great tips for local hangouts which we used eg the tapas place Da Rosa, the bar La Palette and Laduree - the famous macaron parlour. The apartment's down a really quiet, secluded path with lots of cool little galleries to wander past and hardly any traffic, an amazing benefit considering the really busy shopping streets are just around the corner. The location and facilities were perfect for us (a couple) - we wanted a central and atmospheric neighbourhood with a balcony, a sofa to lounge on, a proper oven, wifi and an all-important bath along with the usual shower. Hot water was on demand.
The views from the bedroom and balcony were of proper rooftops - love the zinc material and chimney pots. Inside, decor was a nice balance between quirky and classical Parisian - so bright and airy. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed and we made all our breakfasts and a couple of other meals in.
We were thinking of buying a travel card but this would have been totally unnecessary as we only needed transport for three short journeys - the initial one from Gare du Nord, once to speed us up to Montmartre after a tiring morning and afternoon on our feet, and a taxi on the way back to the Eurostar. Everything we wanted to do was either on the doorstep or within an hour or so's walk in the sunshine - the river, huge choice of bars, cafes and restaurants, markets, and the beautiful cemetery Pere Lachaise.
All great value too.
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
the apartment is really beautiful and great location. olivia was super super helpful and communicative and it all went very smoothly. definitely recommend!
