Annie was a wonderful host and her home exceeded our expectations. Her home is wonderful and we felt very safe and comfortable. On our next visit to the area we will absolutely stay here again.
The house was absolutely as advertised - the air condition was a great bonus. We enjoyed our stay very much, even with the rough ocean.
Unfortunately we booked only for seven days, that will never happen again. Next time we definitely will stay longer.
We had a great time in Casa Verde and Cahuita. The House Is everything You could dream of, the sea was a bit rough, so we Could not really swim, but the Wildlife is great, and it passes you by, while you have a coffee on the terrace. Nando was there to give us instructions to the house, and Guinness- the friendly house cat. We really enjoyed the reaggae bar and the fireworks on the main square on New Years. Food wise no new recommendations- go for Arroz- that's never bad! The house is a lot more spacious, the fotos do not live up to it.
Casa Verde and Cahuita was more than I had ever dreamed it would be. My husband and I stayed there for 10 days during our honeymoon, and wish we could have stayed longer. Annie was such a gracious host--so knowledgeable of the area and was available to answer any questions we had during our stay. We had the good fortune to have her in town for our visit, so she was nearby if we needed anything.
The house itself is so beautiful - everything was clean, the design is amazing, the water pressure is great for showers, and the kitchen is fully equipped. It is HOT on the Caribbean coast, but fans on the front porch and in the house made it comfortable--there's also an AC unit in the master bedroom that was much appreciated for sleeping at night. The front porch is such a nice place to enjoy a drink, read a book, and listen to the birds and the ocean waves roll in. The ocean is just at the end of the street, so it's very audible from the front porch. There were only 2 of us, but with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, we think we'll be back with friends!
When you visit, don't miss Sobre Las Olas, Pizzeria Cahuita, and Surf Carribbean for meals--you won't regret it.

My parents and I just returned from Costa Rica. We stayed at Casa Verde for the bulk of our trip and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations and the town of Cahuita. Although we did not get to meet Annie (she was out of town while we were there), she was so helpful with any interests we had, transportation information and local restaurants worth going to. I would have to say that the pictures of the house are right on if not better in person. Being together in one house instead of a couple hotel rooms, especially with the nice kitchen and patio definitely made us feel right at home and actually brought us closer together. Cahuita is a laid back town with plenty of restaurants and activities. Walking there from the house took around 15 minutes and we took a taxi some nights which was really easy. My parents and I are still talking about our wonderful time there. Thank you Annie!
Annie was a wonderful hostess! The house was clean and tidy and only a short walk from the beach. With all of the heat in Cahuita, the house stayed cool with the fans for comfortable sleeping weather. Annie really went out of her way to see that we had a good time and all our needs were met. I would recommend La Casa Verde to anyone visiting Cahuita. We are already discussing coming back.
I am a fun loving person that originally went to Costa Rica on a surfing vacation and ended up falling in love with the country and people. I now live on the Caribbean Coast in a beautiful beach town call Cahuita. Here I enjoy surfing. spanish lessons, yoga and the wonderful wildlife around me.
