You will not find a better place to stay or a better host in Marseille! The apartment was amazing - very uniquely and beautifully designed and furnished. They provide everything you may need for a great stay - towels, cooking utensils etc. Benjamin and Julie are both very friendly and helpful and recommended nice places for us to visit based on our interests. We enjoyed our time there immensely thanks to them and their apartment and you will be making a very wise decision in choosing them!
We loved Benjamin's apartment, it was great to see such a creative use of space in an historic building...and in such a fun and exciting city. We could have stayed far longer than just one night. Thanks to Laurent for a charming welcome au lieu de Benjamin. We'll be back for sure...
Benjamin's apartment is a jewel placed in one of the more vibrant parts of the city and being located very close to the main train station and a short walk to the sea, it was perfect for our short stay. The apartment itself is wonderfully designed with perfect morning light and a view that one could stare at for hours. I'd recommend this apartment at any time of year if you're looking for a more authentic stay in Marseille. I miss it!
At first, I had a trouble with choosing this apartment because the neighborhood looked very dangerous! But Benjamin was nice when I made contact with him, so I finally decided to stay here. When I went to the apartment, it was not spooky at all! The apartment was very beautiful and we loved it. Ben gave us all the information we needed about the city that we had no trouble hanging around. My friends and I loved the stay in a beautiful city in a beautiful apartment of Ben.
The STAR is the view of the ocean and both cathedrals. Simply breathtaking.
Apartment is spacious, with sunlight from both sides. A quirky but useful layout gives the place lots of character.
The bed is a kind of tempur-pedic. I have a sketchy back and had no problems despite staying here for a month.
It's great for long-term stay also. It's a friendly neighborhood - the *real* Marseille - supermarket nearby, close to metro and train station, 10-15 minutes from tons of restaurants.
Benjamin is beyond hospitable - sat down with me the first day and marked out everything to see/eat/do on a map. He and his wife even invited me for dinner and to a great party with friends. He simply made the city better.
Wahou ! Fucking great comment, thanks Buddy.
I really recommend this apartement! it´s a great place and Benjamin is a cool guy! I stayed there with my mother and my brother for a week and we had a perfect time at it!!
Simply the ideal place to go explore Marseille. Perfectly situated near the oldest neighbourhood of Marseille "Le panier", 5 minutes away from the "vieux-port". The sea view from the Kitchen table is stunning, what a pleasure to stare a the city's roofs while drinking your morning coffee.
Besides Benjamin is a great host very friendly and flexible. I will definitely use this appartement for future trips to Marseille! Merci Benjamin!
Benjamin is one of the best hosts you can find on Airbnb. He managed to hand over the keys to his apartment with no problems, even though we arrived at 4am. We entered the apartment to find fresh milk in the fridge, a bottle of wine, bread and a full basket of guides to Marseille, the museums, events and other paraphernalia.
He has done an amazing job with the place, creating an semi-open plan arrangement that is a joy to live in. We actually loved hanging out in the apartment, even though we hadn't been to Marseille before.
Do not forget to ask Benjamin about tips for Marseille food, drinks and culture, we followed his instructions all the way and were not disappointed!
Great accommodation. very clean. Only 10 minutes away from the old port, with great views, including an amazing sunset from the kitchen! Would definitely go back.
