Best location in Madrid. Everything is at a walking distance from the apartment. Museums, restaurants, gym, the Royal Palace, the Opera house, the Rastro... You can enjoy the daytime wondering around, visiting the most important spots; but also the night time. Chueca has an interesting night live, and it is very close to the artistic/intellectual Malasaña, the multicultural Lavapies or Huertas, the area with the highest ratio of turists.
The apartment has a living room, a kitchen, bathroom and a room upstairs. This room has a double and a single bed, both under a window each, to sleep watching the spanish sky. In the living room there is a sofa bed for 2 more people and a couch if you need that extra place. Total: 6 people. The living room itself has huge windows that allow the sun in all day long. You won't find many apartments brighter that this one.
Fuencarral street is perpendicular to this one. That is one of the main shopping streets in Madrid. If you want to try a really nice paella, ask me. The place is very close but I don't want to write it down here (please help us keeping paellas at a high standard by not going to just any horrible place where they will give you some yellow rice and will charge you a fortune).
Chueca is a gay friendly area. If you walk around you will notice it. You can expect to come across same-sex couples holding hands or kissing each other.

No parties. Sorry.
Treat the apartment and the neighbors as you wish to be treated. Respect them all.
Remember that after 00h00 no screaming or loud music is allowed in any apartment.
There are fishes and they would like to eat. Look for their food in the red drower right below the aquarium.
Our stay in Madrid was absolutely perfect. We had 5 people stay and there was more than enough space. The location is wonderful and the area is very charming. We had all the necessities supplied to us (towels, shampoo) and the kitchen was stocked with all the utilities and pots and pans we needed. Emilio was incredibly welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic place, Emilio is a great host and is very responsive. Will come back in a heartbeat!
Emilie was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. He was very flexible in terms of schedule and very easy to communicate with about my arrival. Upon arrival, he not only showed me around the apartment, but also gave me tips on where to eat in the neighborhood and some nice things to do in the city. He was so friendly and I felt at home right away. I was also very impressed with the apartment - its even better than the pictures and had everything I needed.
Emilio made us feel welcome and waited for me outside to guide me to his lovely apartment.
My stay at Emilio's worked out well. I took a taxi from the airport (30 euros). The cab driver didn't speak english and dropped me off on the corner. My spanish wasn't quite good enough to know which place was Emilios. I found it after asking a couple merchants. The place was very nice. The bed is comfortable and the loft where the bed is has low ceilings. I slept well but woke up to birds hopping on what sounded like a tin roof. If someone else is staying in the flat, it would be a bit crowded (unless you know them) as it's a studio, no bedroom. I enjoyed my stay as the area is right in the heart of everything.
I cannot stress the great location of this apartment. My trip was merely an extended layover, but somehow I manage to see a ton of Madrid. I didn't get to meet Emilio myself, because a friend of mine got to Madrid first. Though my friend said Emilio was very sweet. All of my guests commented about what a great find this apartment was. You will be 100% satisfied.
La atención fue estupenda y Emilio nos dio muchas facilidades para quedar. El apartamento es precioso y muy bien ubicado. Nos movimos por Madrid caminando. Está cerca de todo!

A few words about me.
I consider myself optimistic and hardworking. I like reading, music, swimming, cycling... that makes me pretty normal, I guess. One of my favorite things to do is traveling, like the most of the people here, probably, and that's how I got to know this site.
In my case, I'm renting an apartement, not a room, so I'm having contact with my guests only if they want me to. If you need any advise about Madrid, you can ask me. And, if I have the time, we can go have a beer around.
