The Space

Beautiful home, inside out! If you need a few days, a week or even a month stay, I have just the right place for you! Two bedroom, two bath home. Large fenced yard for privacy. Playset in the backyard. Washer and dryer access in the basement. Close proximity to I-71 & I-75 Interstates. All the things you have to call a second home.

The home is located in Pleasant Ridge. The City of Norwood is just a skip away. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, we are an urban working to middle class neighborhood. Half the street are apartment dwellers, while the other half are homeowners. I live about half way down a no outlet street, so you won't hear much street noise from my location. Since we are centrally located in Cincinnati, you will find easy access to the suburbs north of us and downtown to the south of us. Within the area, you will get the hustle and bustle of the city on the outside with the charm of a cozy cottage on the inside.

I will promptly answer any questions you have before you consider our home. You can also look over past guest reviews. There is alot to be said about the experiences of guest stays first hand. For those last minute stays, I will try my best to accommodate you. Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon!

I will periodically be around for BNB maintenance and cleaning. I will not at all enter without agreed advanced notice from you. The whole house is for you to enjoy, with the exception of a shared basement for laundry use. If you are staying over a month and need mail delivery, I can coordinate that with you in advance. Lastly, if you need to be picked up to and from the airport, I can do so more competitively priced than a taxi. Just let me know far in advance so that my schedule can meet with yours.

  • Everything was exactly as described. Debbie was very thorough in her instructions. The house was clean, and despite an extreme outdoor temperature the ac worked well and kept the house comfortable. Would recommend this house to others.

  • Wonderful old two-story house on the rural end of a street in central Cincy. Deb is a stellar host, house comes stocked with all kinds of thoughtful goodies

  • What a lovely, quirky place! Awesome. Location was perfect for me - less than 5 minute drive to client location. Debbie did an exceptional job with communication from solid directions to key instructions and wifi information. Bed was super comfortable and house stayed cool with help from the ac even though it was a hot hot week in Cinci! Place has plenty of room for a family traveling with kids - between the spare bed, roll out and comfy couches, you're set - I felt kind of guiltily having I all to myself!

  • Debbie was an excellent host. Her charming house was clean and stocked with everything you could need, including a refrigerator full of beverages and cabinets filled with teas. The little touches were not overlooked. The location was great and there was plenty of room to park in front of the house. We really appreciate not having to worry about parking when staying in a city. Also the house is on a dead-end road, so it was very quiet.
Working with Debbie was great. She made sure we had directions and answered all of our questions quickly. She was a really great host all around. We will definitely rent from her again if we find ourselves in Cincinnati.

  • Deb was very accommodating and quick to respond to any inquiries I had. The house was clean and well stocked as far as the kitchen goes. There is only on street parking. Also there is no outside lighting other than an inside porch light. The fence has a front entrance that you have to close with a bungee cord, so if you are bringing groceries in to the house its hard to close the gate. Also if you are not good with steps I would not recommend this house. The last step into the house is very high.

  • We stayed for 9 days in this house. It was fairly comfortable except for a couple of issues, which I'll get to. It's a simple, clean house that is in fine condition. The side yard is great if you have kids - lots of room to run around in and fenced in. Kids enjoyed a couple of toys that were in the house (white board and small electronic piano). There's a small desk in the dining room which was useful to work at.

Our biggest issues were the condition of the futon and the A/C on the second floor. The futon is supposed to serve as the fourth place for sleeping. The cushion was in terrible shape. We had to put it on the floor because you could feel every slat of the frame through the futon cushion. Even on the floor, it was quite lumpy. I would definitely ask if this situation has been rectified. So, at the time we were there, I think you can only say it is a 3-person house. On the plus side, I found the other two beds fairly comfortable (although no mattress pads so you may want to bring your own).

I also would question how comfortable the second floor would be on warmer days. There is a window A/C unit in the bathroom. We didn't use it because I wasn't comfortable with how you got it plugged into an outlet in the bedroom (using an extension cord that runs through the bathroom and requires a conversion of three prong to two prong) so I can't say how well it cools the upstairs but, without it, it was stuffy and warm up there even in spring.

So, other than those the issues, the house served us fine but I don't feel like we got what we paid for.

    Response from Debbie:

Unfortunately I was in the midst of shopping for a new futon mattress to accomodate larger groups. In one of the closets, I do have an extra memory foam twin bed to serve temporary bedding. There is also a rollaway bed I have stored away. As of late, I did recently purchase a full size sleeper couch that will go in place of the futon. In terms of temp control, I have central air which works just fine, but also table, room and upright fans to use at the BNB.

  • Our stay was wonderful! Debbie gave clear and comprehensive communication before and throughout our stay. The house was in great condition, and it was obvious that she's put a lot of thought and work into making it feel like home! We spent most of our time out and about, but the time we spent at the house was very warm and we felt at ease. The entire weekend went off without a hitch (well, except for the cereal bowl we accidentally broke!) - and we were all a little sad to leave. Thanks Debbie!

  • Our stay at Debbie's cozy house was the absolute best! Her location made it easy for us to get to the places we wanted to go. i.e.. Hyde Park, downtown Cincy, Covington, KY, etc. AND the accommodations were outstanding in and of themselves. Our grand kids especially liked the spacious back yard and playground swing and tree house. I liked the little niceties like the snacks Deb left for us. The next time our clan gets together for another visit with our youngest daughter in Cincinnati, we certainly hope Debbie's house is available.

  • My boyfriend and I came into town for a convention over the weekend, and even though we were to arrive very late our first evening Debbie was incredibly accommodating! Debbie kept in contact throughout the entire week building up to the trip, made sure that we knew exactly where we were going and that if we had any needs at all we knew how to accomplish our goals. The house wasn't difficult to find at all with her incredibly accurate descriptions and even in the middle of the night we felt secure in our travels. I highly recommend staying in this adorable home and working with Debbie!

  • Debbie’s home was perfect for our stay in Cincinnati. It was centrally located so we could easily get to just about anywhere in the city in about 20 minutes. The home is comfortable and Debbie has supplied everything you’ll need including a hair dryer, iron and all of the kitchen gear that you could imagine. She was flexible with our arrival time and always got right back to us if we had a question. We will definitely stay at Debbie’s house on our next trip to Cincy!

I am thrilled to be your AirBNB Host! Some of you have traveled from a great distance, whether it is for work or leisure or for visiting relatives or friends you haven't seen in awhile. Others of you are more local, looking for that occasional escape away from home. A good portion of you are booking for the first time. I know the City of Cincinnati and surrounding suburbs fairly well. So if you need some pointers, please don't hesitate to ask. Should you be stopping by briefly, staying for a weekend or just need a work diversion during the week, I will happily provide you with a laundry list of fun things to do around town. If you are a newbie or haven't yet figured out, this Airbnb thing is about more than a stay, it's about the experience! I hope you take full advantage of that notion while you are in town. I am truly honored and blessed to have met guests from all areas of the country and world! I was the randomly chosen location of a friend reunion to meet mid point from Michigan to Tennessee after a 10 year absence. I was a recovery hub for a toddler and his family in town for heart surgery at Children's Hospital. I was a vacant spot for a mom throwing a Breakfast at Tiffany's bridal shower to marry off her last daughter for a wedding stay. To think...this all started when Cincy was the host city of the World Choir Games! Aside from my duties of providing you Airbnb hospitality, I work full-time in sales coupled with parenting a toddler and a teen. My time is fleeting to get to check in on guests during your stay. But I will work with you, as much as possible, from your initial interest until the last day at check out. In my hosting efforts, the end result is to cater to you as an individual with a unique need for your stay. Rather than treat you like just another booked guest passing in the night. Afterall, that is why you prefer to Air over stumbling on a random hotel chain off the interstate. I will offer you more than what hotels could offer...the convenience of flexible check-in and check-out times, a space that doesn't feel like a box and some simple amenities to get you started for your stay. You can choose a check in where I personally give you the keys or you may opt for a late night arrival with a lockbox on site. Whichever the case, I look forward to your stay with us. Until then...Happy Air'ing!
