About this listing
Beautiful home, inside out! If you need a few days, a week or even a month stay, I have just the right place for you! Older house with modern feel. Two bedroom, two bath home. Large fenced yard for privacy. Playset in the backyard. Washer and dryer access in the basement. Close proximity to I-71 & I-75 Interstates. All the things you need and will have to call it a second home!
The home is located in Pleasant Ridge. The City of Norwood is just a skip away. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, we are an urban working to middle class neighborhood. Half the street are apartment dwellers, while the other half are homeowners. I live about half way down a no outlet street, so you won't hear much street noise from my location. Since we are centrally located in Cincinnati, you will find easy access to the suburbs north of us and downtown to the south of us. Within the area, you will get the hustle and bustle of the city on the outside with the charm of a cozy cottage on the inside.
I will promptly answer any questions you have before you consider our home. You can also look over past guest reviews. There is alot to be said about the experiences of guest stays first hand. For those last minute stays, I will try my best to accommodate you. Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon!

Laundry washer and dryer use in the basement
I have a second Airbnb listing. There is an apartment that sits in front of the house. The house is seperate from the apartment. The yard, sidewalk space and basement for laundry use are shared areas of the BNB.
Interaction with Guests
I will periodically be around for BNB maintenance and cleaning. I will not at all enter without agreed advanced notice from you. The whole house is for you to enjoy, with the exception of a shared locked basement for laundry use. If you are staying over a month and need mail delivery, I can coordinate that with you in advance. Lastly, if you need to be picked up to and from the airport, I can do so more competitively priced than a taxi. Just let me know far in advance so that my schedule can meet with yours.
City life can be noisy, but my street is surprisingly quiet. The house is located in a diverse working class neighborhood on the rise of revitalization. I've made it my home for 6 years. A few streets away feels like suburban life. However, I live on the edge of Pleasant Ridge where the area is city living mostly compromised of black neighbors on one half of the street and the other half being white. Some may feel uncomfortable, but I have felt safe being familiar with the area and knowing some of my neighbors.
If you want to get around without using your car, there is a metro bus stop at the end of the street. I recommend using it for Bengals or Reds games or anything Fountain Square and downtown.
Other Things to Note
Please briefly read over your info sheet folder when you check in. The house manual should answer most of the frequently asked questions I have had in the three years of hosting.
Follow one simple rule: treat my home as if it were your own. Promptly report any repairs or damages during your stay. If you smoke, please do so outside and dispose of it properly. Keep the front gate closed at all times. You are welcome to use the parking space in front of the two car garage. I recommend compact cars only due to the entrance space. I do have a shared driveway with my neighbor, so that may present a challenge. There are 2-3 side street parking spaces in front of the home, which is probably your best bet.
I am flexible on the check in and check out times. But I would like to know as far in advance as possible so that I can accomodate you during your stay.
While we unfortunately never met in person, Deb was an INCREDIBLE host and we really enjoyed staying in the house. She was very accommodating with our extremely late arrival and the clarity if the directions/instructions she provided meant we were able to settle in right away when we arrived. The kitchen was stocked with bottled water, juice, soda, and beer, as well as small, convenient snacks. It was a special touch that gave our stay that little extra "oomph" and that attention to detail just proves that Deb is a great host. It made us feel like welcomed guests and not random strangers. Because she didn't have new guests coming to stay at the house the same day we were leaving, she offered us late check-out for no extra charge, which was absolutely amazing!
The house itself is ADORABLE and my husband and I fell in love with its charm immediately. It's obviously an older home, so if you're very tall, you'll probably need to duck when upstairs in the bedroom (we didn't have that problem, but the house is so nice I promise it's worth it).
Our only "complaint" is so minor it feels silly to say it, but when we stayed it was very hot in Cincinnati and it would have been nice having a box fan or something to use in addition to the air conditioning, especially for the time before the AC was able to cool down the bedroom.
Overall the stay was AMAZING and we'd love to stay here again the next time we have to stay in Cincinnati. Thanks Deb!!
Had an excellent stay at Deb's house. Very convenient commute to downtown and the house was as advertised. Very clean and well stocked. Deb was also quick to respond with any communication.
Would return if the need arises. Deb is a great host!
Very comfortable house, with a well-equipped kitchen, bedrooms and bath. Street parking is okay, and location allows easy access to downtown Cinci plus eastern suburbs. This is our second stay. We'd return.
We had a fantastic stay at Deb's house, spent 2 months with our kid. House and garden have everything one could wish for and we can't emphasize enough how much hospitality we encountered over the whole period of time.
We stayed here for two months during March and April of 2015. Our stay was uneventful and pleasant. Deb does a nice job of stocking the home with treats, which is a very welcoming surprise. The home is clean and cozy. The bed in the master bedroom is quite comfortable. Over the course of the two months, we never saw Deb and she never saw us, which should be an indicator of how well prepared the place is.
My only criticism of the place and this is after a two month stay, is that the description of the neighborhood and surroundings is misleading. While the home itself is quaint and in good condition, the surroundings were not what we expected. It is certainly a diverse neighborhood and one of the less attractive neighborhoods in cincinnati. That being said, we never had issues, the neighbors seemed nice and at no point did we have any reason to feel unsafe. Its just that the description is a bit misleading.
The location is certainly center city and close to the highway. My commute to the medical district took about 12 minutes each day. It was easy to get downtown and to Hyde Park, clifton, etc.
Overall, we had a positive experience and appreciated the accomodations.
Debbie is a very welcoming host - she provides a charming house with a clean, warm environment. She is hands-off (unless you ask for something) - for me, a big bonus. The house was exactly as described. Exceeded my expectations by a wide margin.
Stayed at the house for work and couldn't have asked for a better location. Deb was very polite and responded quickly to all requests.

About the Host, Deb
I am thrilled to be your Airbnb Host! Some of you have traveled from a great distance, whether it is for work or leisure or for visiting relatives or friends you haven't seen in awhile. Others of you are more local, looking for that occasional escape away from home. A good portion of you are booking for the first time. I grew up in Kenwood and know the City of Cincinnati and surrounding suburbs fairly well. So if you need some pointers, please do not hesitate to ask. Should you be stopping by briefly, staying for a weekend or just need a work diversion during the week, I will happily provide you with a laundry list of fun things to do around town.
If you are a newbie or haven't yet figured out, this Airbnb thing is about more than a stay, it's about the experience! I hope you take full advantage of that notion while you are in town. I am truly honored and blessed to have met guests from all areas of the country and the world! I was the randomly chosen location of a friend reunion to meet mid point from Michigan to Tennessee after a 10 year absence. I was a recovery hub for a toddler and his entire family in town for a long term stay from Florida for heart surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I was a vacant celebration spot for a mom throwing a Breakfast at Tiffany's themed bridal shower to marry off her last daughter for a wedding stay. To think...this all started for me when Cincy was the chosen host city for the World Choir Games back in July 2012! Three years later, I get the privilege of hosting some of you for our town's highly anticipated under the national spotlight Major League Baseball's All Star Game in July 2015!
Aside from my duties of providing you Airbnb hospitality, I work a full-time job coupled with parenting a toddler and a teen. My time is fleeting to get to check in on guests during your stay. But I will work with you, as much as possible, from your initial interest until the last day at check out.
In my hosting efforts, the end result is to cater to you as an individual with a unique need for your stay. Rather than treat you like just another booked guest passing in the night. Afterall, that is why you prefer to Air over stumbling on a random hotel chain off the interstate. I will offer you more than what hotels could offer...the convenience of flexible check-in and check-out times, a space that doesn't feel like a box and some simple amenities to get you started for your stay. You can choose a check in where I personally give you the keys or you may opt for a late night arrival with a lockbox on site. Whichever the case, I look forward to your stay with us. Until then...Happy Air'ing!
