You may GET THE HOUSE TO YOURSELF much of the time apart from interacting with any other lovely guests booked in my second bedroom upstairs (see listing below my profile to see the othe room available with ensuite), or the occasional interaction with me. :)
FOR YOU: Enjoy sleeping on a beautiful comfy queen size bed in your own room with a desk and lamp and a window to our quiet residential street, space to enjoy lazing, settle in with clothes hanging space and shelves and a nice big clean bathroom, fresh sheets and towels provided.. perhaps curl up and read on one of the comfy couches in the main room with the sun streaming in through the big windows, or getting online with free and fast wifi; perhaps make yourself a snack in the clean, fully equipped kitchen, or enjoying it on the large very private balcony upstairs.. Perhaps you feel like venturing out, with easy access to city tours and to the Great Ocean Road etc through one of the tour companies in town, or exploring the neighbourhood and the vast number of wonderful offerings, from warm homey cafes, pubs and bars serving awesome coffee, generous servings of fantastic food within 2 minutes walk, see a local band play of an evening within 5 minute walk, check out one of the many surrounding parks, the Melbourne Zoo, Botanical Gardens, a football or cricket game, a local farmer's market, or do some window shopping for goods or food from the shopping districts at each end of our street.. Our place is also extremely convenient for students, lecturers, visiting nursing students, nurses and doctors, or students of the Savoury School, Melbourne University and the Royal Melbourne Hospital being within 20 minutes walk or a minute tram ride.. we even have a Chocolate/ pastry school, great local breweries and coffee roasters within minutes walk! And all the cafes have fabulous all-day cooked breakfasts and sweets to die for.. You can't ask for better location for easy access to everything you could possible want, need or have a craving for! :)
As our guest, you will be looked after by me personally via media as well as my teachers there in person, with contact details shared (after booking confirmation), and a warm friendly welcome, flexible check-in time as you will simply do it yourself with details of how to get the keys (and replace them securely in the lock-box also upon departure), and you can settle-in in your own time.
Interaction with guests
I like being social, however interaction can be as often or sparse as desired by the guest, or as little - I am currently overseas so I do appreciate conversation before and throughout your stay via media so that we can happily touch base and make sure you're having the best experience possible.
I'm always contactable though by phone, message via various online services and on here, as ell as face to face video media for any questions/ advice. I am an Airbnb Superhost, so I am here to do the best I can for you! :)
PS: I am currently overseas so you get much of the house to yourself, much of the time! For peace of mind, I do have someone to call on in Melbourne should you need any assistance in person, so rest assured :)
Imagine shops, cafes with famous Melbourne coffee and fantastic food, beautiful lush green parks, pubs, bars, live music, young family and student-oriented neighbourhood which is lively, and generally friendly and safe even at night (always take care though please ;)).. Quiet yet so close to lots of action and things to check out.
All sorts of public transport all within 5 minutes walk! 5 mins walk to the train to the city, two different tram lines and numerous bus lines.. One of the most accessible and convenient parts of Melbourne!
Additionally, we are so close to CityLink freeway access which is very convenient for taxis to/from the airport..
Other things to note
*want to stay for a couple of months or more? Just ask me..
I do have fast WIFI available FREE to guests (however please be respectful that our teachers need to also have data quota, so please, NO TORRENTING and if you work in IT or web development and travelling to Melbourne for work, working from home is NOT appreciated nor is using up all our data, thanks ;) Free WiFi is also offered at all the cafes nearby too! You are so close to central Melbourne and the most happening parts of town that you really have EVERYTHING you could possibly want, need or be curious to check out for a night out around town, without being 'stuck' within the mayhem and you can retreat to a quiet, calm, secure and comfortable place to lay your weary head :)
ANOTHER POINT OF NOTE re UTILITIES:
We were in drought for many years here and water restrictions are in place still in parts of Melbourne and across Australia. Please respect water use, use half-flush button on toilets, do what the locals do and limit showers to 5 minutes please.
Please also turn OFF ALL lights, extra appliances and heating/aircon and bathroom/kitchen/laundry fans when you leave the premises.
Security and cleanliness are paramount. Please be courteous and treat the place with the same care you show your own property please, or more. If you cook anything, please pull out and turn on the overhead fan, or air out the room if needed. Seal food items and put the away- do not leave them out! If you leave it in a mess, break anything without letting me know, leave rubbish or food stuffs around or not take your rubbish out, it will not be taken happily, so please just do the right thing. Any extraordinary cleaning requirement beyond the typical expectation or damage bill will be charged. So please, just be clean, decent, courteous guests as you'd hope anyone staying in your house would be... :)
I love having guests, especially great, respectful, clean and tidy ones! A few important things though we'd like you to note and respect please:
1. FLEXIBLE CHECK-IN TIME :) I give you instructions on how to get in, where and how to access keys via a security lock-box. Please notify me in advance however of likely check-in time as I sometimes have back-to-back booking and need to get my professional cleaner in to wash, clean and reset everything in time for your arrival.
2. No relatives, friends or guests of yours allowed in this house at any time, including people 'meeting you there' to go elsewhere... Please, this is my private residence as well as my business headquarters and do not allow people to see my place whom haven't booked to stay or are part of my school. No parties or get-togethers, no illegal, immoral or fire-hazardous activities.
3. The front door and security door must be LOCKED AT ALL TIMES for security and peace of mind, and with respect to our instruments and equipment, privacy of my space and business, and your things too!
4. Musical instruments are costly and are not toys (even fun-looking percussion instruments) so please, if you see one, DO NOT TOUCH without my express permission. If you ask, or are a musician, I am very happy to allow use - even my beautiful piano. But if you break anything, you pay for the full repair of it - no exceptions.
5. Hiring a room in my house means you are a WELCOME GUEST and have been chosen to be able to stay (I don't allow just *anybody* you know..) and you are not a tenant, so please respect space in the house with regard to others. Don't touch, open, or fiddle with anything you do not have specific permission to do so in terms of instruments, cupboards, looking for internet modems or checking out other rooms expressly asked not to enter or not told you can. A breach of this will result in negative feedback and/or an immediate cancellation of the remainder of the booking if this rule is disrespected (and we are not obligated to return fees other than those stated in the cancellation policy). I'd like to think I only have well-intentioned guests who stay happily at my place :) just as I look after and respect each person whom is a guest in my place as best as possible. Thank you :D
6. Please be mindful, courteous and respectful to other guests, and upon departure, please dispose of and remove from the premises any rubbish, especially perishable food and drinks.
7.I have been awarded AIRBNB 'SUPERHOST' status, so as proven by so fantastic reviews consistently as testament to my commitment to providing the VERY BEST EXPERIENCE and warm comfortable stay for all my guests, PLEASE WRITE TO ME or buzz me on any form of media (given to you after booking is confirmed) at ANY time and I will do my best to help you in any and every way I can :) Let me know of anything so I can sort it out for you on the spot, don't just write about something in a review down the track that I didn't know about. Thank you :) :)

I very much enjoy company, love having fun and sharing laughs, am an excellent conversationalist and LOVE sharing travel stories and hearing all about others' adventures (and misadventures!) , but also know when to keep to myself and let people enjoy quiet times too. I have spent a lot of time living, traveling and working abroad in Greece (just returned from a 6 week trip there!), Italy, France, Switzerland, England, Wales, Thailand, South Africa, Zambia and the USA, I am always up for a drink and chat about traveling although ai am currently living in Greece getting back to my roots :) Where are you from and what are your favorite destinations? :)
I am also a massive movie buff and being from Melbourne originally (and having a Mediterranean background) we are all foodies here! You will be spoilt for choice in this area..!
I have always been considered a great host to many friends and warm to fellow travellers quickly being a very avid and experienced traveller myself. As a musician, proud Melbourne resident and quasi-tour guide to friends who have come and stayed with me over the years, I would be absolutely delighted to give you information and guidance on all there is to experience in this amazing city and how to get around... Time permitting I'd be very happy to take you out and show you around too or for a night out on the town.. But I am also sensitive to your wishes and will otherwise be happy to leave you to your own devices unless asked for assistance :)

Some points on housekeeping: Have a fully functioning and well equipped kitchen but don't tend to cook much due to long or strange working hours but you are welcome to make use of it all during your (URL HIDDEN) long as noise (and pungent aromas) are kept to a minimum and just as other common areas including bathroom are to be cleaned up by you directly after use, and electricity and water are not wasted unnecessarily please.

Please be respectful regarding looking after property, locking up properly, keeping noise to a minimum at night especially, and replacing anything you damage, and look after my instruments and the cleanliness of my place as if it's your own! And if you're ever in Greece -Athens or Crete especially - feel free to get in touch as I will be more than happy to take you on a locals' guided walk and show you the hidden gems of these beautiful places too!
