The Space

One bedroom ready to go for your stay. Kitchen bar to host a small get together or just to treat yourself to the convenience of an extended stay. A large fenced yard surrounds the apartment for complete privacy. A firepit to hang around or to show off your Smores talent. A fold out single bed with a memory foam mattress to accomodate up to three guests. Close to both the 75 & 71 Interstate highway. This retreat is a must stay!

The home is located in Pleasant Ridge. The City of Norwood is just a skip away. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, we are an urban working to middle class neighborhood. Half the street are apartment dwellers, while the other half are homeowners. I live about half way down a no outlet street, so you won't hear much street noise from my location. Since we are centrally located in Cincinnati, you will find easy access to the suburbs north of us and downtown to the south of us. Within the area, you will get the hustle and bustle of the city on the outside with the charm of a cozy cottage on the inside.

I will promptly answer any questions you have before you consider our home. You can also look over past guest reviews. There is alot to be said about the experiences of guest stays first hand. For those last minute stays, I will try my best to accommodate you. Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon!

I will periodically be around for BNB maintenance and cleaning. I will not at all enter without agreed advanced notice from you. The whole apartment is for you to enjoy. If you are staying over a month and need mail delivery, I can coordinate that with you in advance. Lastly, if you need to be picked up to and from the airport, I can do so more competitively priced than a taxi. Just let me know far in advance so that my schedule can meet with yours.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Overall it was a good stay. We were very pleased with how quiet it is, and the bed is firm and comfortable. This apartment is decorated simply but works if you are not looking for anything fancy or modern. There is a window air conditioning, but it worked fine temperature-wise in two hot days. It's close to several restaurants, groceries, pharmacies etc, so very convenient. We needed to go back and forth to Norwood, so it couldn't be better located. We were happy to find a DVD player to watch a tv series on the small TV set.The shower head could be improved, as well as the internet connection, which was not reliable. The main access point is in the front house, so it was unstable. If you depend on Wi-Fi to work, this set up is not for you. I wished she had told us this earlier.

    Response from Debbie:

The only time I've had guests complain about the internet is when they do not properly log on, as seems this case. I had a guest stay for 3 months for a PHD study reliant on internet. She had no problems with the WiFi with her studies and thesis. I clearly ask at any point you have questions, problems or concerns to please just ask. That is my job as your host! :)

  • Debbie (email hidden) and the apartment was of great quality. My plans made my arrival time unexpected but the flexibility and self check-in and check-out worked perfectly. If you ever need a safe and dependable place to stay in Cincinnati, definitely check-in here!

  • The place was easy to find and get to. We had a car. The accomodations were as described and everything we needed. The neighborhood gets a little rougher when you go a few blocks away in one direction but we felt safe in our little street and small home. Definitely worth it. There is a tasty Ethiopian place at the top of the hill.

  • This apartment is great! It is in a friendly neighborhood on a quiet street, and well-located so it's easy to get downtown and to the box stores, grocery stores, etc. My husband and I stayed here for three months and we didn't lack for anything, the house is cozy with an up-to-date kitchen and bathroom, high-speed internet, etc. We really enjoyed the yard as well, which we often had lunch or dinner in when the weather permitted. We couldn't recommend this house enough!

  • The house was great! Clean, big fenced yard for our dog to run in. We'll definitely be back.

  • I stayed in Cincinnati for two months and couldn't have asked (email hidden) to call home away from home.
Amenities, location, value, and Debbie was there to answer questions and provide help as needed.
If you're in Cincinnati, stay with Debbie!

  • nice small apartment with everything you need for a day, a week or a month. Debbie thinks of everything. I was comfortable, the instructions were clear and it was convenient by highway to downtown Cincinnati. I would stay again.

  • My stay at Debbie's place was a very comfortable and pleasant one, with the apartment kept very clean and all the basic necessities and more made available..Towels, toiletries, drinks, water, coffee, tea, spices etc. she had clear descriptions of the location of various items such that getting settled in the apartment was pretty easy, in addition she was easily reachable those times i needed to, and very helpful in my moving around-Thanks for the ride Deb! Even when i needed to adjust the length of my stay Debbie was very understanding. God bless u Deb!

  • Debbie's place is perfect! It's small enough to be able to find everything but big enough to feel at home. Quiet street, easy access to restaurants and downtown, (email hidden)! We arrived later than anticipated, and Debbie was so understanding and helpful in getting us in after dark. Wifi was sketchy, but I didn't go to Cincinnati to use my computer. I went to see the Reds win. And they did.

    Response from Debbie:

Glad you found your way around the apartment and also to the stadium! The Reds are teeter tottering 3rd and 2nd place with a tough division. But where else can you watch enjoy the riverfront view, while watching a pennant chasing team duke it out? The internet thing does have its moments. It picks up reception only when your device is close to it. Not the high speed I have at the house, but I think it is a quick fix with just a receiver box. I have it marked on my to do list for the apartment essentials.

  • Our stay was fantastic across the board. We had zero hassle getting in and out. The space is lovely and Deb added personal, thoughtful touches that made it really feel like a home away from home (my mom especially enjoyed the book selection). If you're traveling with someone else and will require a second bed as we did, you'll be pleased to find the memory foam mattress on the rollaway is very comfortable. I have a history of back issues and was pleasantly surprised to wake up after long, active days feeling great.

The location was very convenient. Parking was super easy (living in Chicago, this is something I never take for granted). The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very secure. Access to the interstates was quick. We wanted to stay a bit north of the city center for a shorter trip to the tennis tournament we were attending but close enough to downtown that it wasn't a chore to get there. This location was perfect for that.

Skip the hotel and stay here. You won't regret it.

    Response from Debbie:

I love my BNB guests who take a pause in their day to read! I am growing the bookcase little by little. So happy to see that the extra bed came in handy. I am glad it was as comfortable as the box it came in read. Parking is ample, especially during the day. We are not the big city that gets charged for everything and anything. I love that about Cincy! The couple staying at my other listing went to the Tennis Open as well. If I knew in advance, I would have definitely paired you all up to get the full AirBNB experience :)

I am thrilled to be your AirBNB Host! Some of you have traveled from a great distance, whether it is for work or leisure or for visiting relatives or friends you haven't seen in awhile. Others of you are more local, looking for that occasional escape away from home. A good portion of you are booking for the first time. I know the City of Cincinnati and surrounding suburbs fairly well. So if you need some pointers, please don't hesitate to ask. Should you be stopping by briefly, staying for a weekend or just need a work diversion during the week, I will happily provide you with a laundry list of fun things to do around town. If you are a newbie or haven't yet figured out, this Airbnb thing is about more than a stay, it's about the experience! I hope you take full advantage of that notion while you are in town. I am truly honored and blessed to have met guests from all areas of the country and world! I was the randomly chosen location of a friend reunion to meet mid point from Michigan to Tennessee after a 10 year absence. I was a recovery hub for a toddler and his family in town for heart surgery at Children's Hospital. I was a vacant spot for a mom throwing a Breakfast at Tiffany's bridal shower to marry off her last daughter for a wedding stay. To think...this all started when Cincy was the host city of the World Choir Games! Aside from my duties of providing you Airbnb hospitality, I work full-time in sales coupled with parenting a toddler and a teen. My time is fleeting to get to check in on guests during your stay. But I will work with you, as much as possible, from your initial interest until the last day at check out. In my hosting efforts, the end result is to cater to you as an individual with a unique need for your stay. Rather than treat you like just another booked guest passing in the night. Afterall, that is why you prefer to Air over stumbling on a random hotel chain off the interstate. I will offer you more than what hotels could offer...the convenience of flexible check-in and check-out times, a space that doesn't feel like a box and some simple amenities to get you started for your stay. You can choose a check in where I personally give you the keys or you may opt for a late night arrival with a lockbox on site. Whichever the case, I look forward to your stay with us. Until then...Happy Air'ing!
