Thanks for your kind comments. Let me just clarify the point on the electricity: We only charge for what it costs us - nothing more, nothing less. It is metered. If you use the washing machine and drier extensively (which I understand that with young babies, you may need to), then 11 euros is probably quite a good deal over two days with electric oven, microwave, kettle, hoover, all lights, television, washing machine & drier being used liberally. Our average usage by the 40 or so sets of guests that we host in an average year is just 6 euros for a week or roughly 1 euro ( 70p) per day.
This charge is not intended to be hidden. It is stated in the prices section of the airbnb description and explained again on arrival.

Response from Nick:

Michael and his family certainly made use of their limited time here on the Dingle Peninsula, whilst staying at Annie's Cottage. Our animals are friendly alright but are disciplined enough to know when to keep their distance! The mountain behind the cottage, Caherrconree, is the 4th highest mountain in Ireland and a beautiful walk (not a climb) and the promontory fort on the top is well worth a visit!

I love the 'hard night in the local pub' description. Thanks for deciding on staying at Annie's Cottage. If anyone else wants to explore the delights of the local pub, I'm happy to drop off or collect! Thanks, Dee & Michael for your nice and truthful comments!

Response from Nick:

Thanks, Albert & Michele. This review actually refers to Annie's Cottage which is located on the same smallholding as River Cottage and therefore benefits from the same donkeys, lambs and friendly host services! We've had that comment about the stars before - I must try it myself.

Response from Nick:

Thanks, Guys. Annie's is one of our three traditional Irish cottages here on the Dingle Peninsula but the one with the most animals around. They are friendly but know their place!
