Rittenhouse Residence is one of Philadelphia's great historic mansions. Built in 1845 and spanning nearly 7,000 sq ft across five floors, it remains one of the city's finest examples of 19th-century architecture — and one of its most remarkable private spaces for a group to call home.
Two blocks from Rittenhouse Square, you are steps from the city's best restaurants, boutiques, and cultural landmarks.
The House
From the moment you enter, the Grand Parlour sets the tone - one of the largest private rooms in the city, with original period details, a pool table, and generous lounge seating. The scale of the house means large groups move through it with ease, with three living rooms, a formal dining space, and two full kitchens offering flexibility at every turn.
The Library Suite on the second floor - with wet bar and 70" 4K TV, functions as a natural gathering point for the whole group. The roof deck above offers panoramic city views, ideal for private dinners, morning coffee, or evening cocktails.
Eight Bedrooms, Complete Privacy
Eight bedrooms across five suites accommodate up to 16 guests, with five full bathrooms and a powder room. The Master and Library suites each have a private en-suite bathroom; the remaining suites share bathrooms between rooms. The layout is designed for both togetherness and personal space - everyone has somewhere to retreat.

The home has historical connections to Anthony Drexel, Drexel University, and the early origins of what became J.P. Morgan Chase.
