Perfectly located in the heart of city centre next to the Mailbox. Ideal to experience all that this vibrant city has to offer. Modern and stylish space with a cosy ensuite guaranteeing a restful night sleep.
Our apartment is located near the canal in the heart of the city centre, next to the Mailbox.
With a wide variety of restaurants and the famous Bullring shopping centre a stone throw away, our apartment is a fantastic base to explore the city.
We are just a few minutes walk from all major sites including the NIA, International Convention Centre, New Street Station, Broad Street and only 10 minutes from Birmingham International by train. The new Library, the main theatres, China Town and Birmingham Museum are also very close by.
The apartment is colourful, spacious and stylish, and with many modern facilities including widescreen TV, surround sound DVD system and blu-ray system. It makes for an ideal weekend stay. You would be staying in a chic double room with an ensuite bathroom. The room has a king size bed with a 1700 pocket spring matress. The room is adjacent to the entrance to the flat which provides a sense of independence too.
There is another bedroom which we stay in, a main bathroom, an open plan living and kitchen area. We have Wi-Fi internet and secure onsite parking, (subject to availability). The kitchen has all mod cons too. There's also a comunal courtyard area on the ground floor of the building which is lovely especially in the summer!
We are a laid back and friendly couple. I work as a freelance photographer and Sheraz is a history teacher. We love to cook and are told we are great hosts! We offer continental breakfast, a good selection of teas and Lavazza coffee. The Mailbox which is full of restaurants is literally on our doorstep but you can cook in or order from one of the local restaurants that do delivery which we can help you choose from.
Expect an enjoyable and restful stay. The flat would be ideal for easy going respectful people.
Just let us know in advance if you would like to bring someone around.
They are very friendly hosts and they have a very very cute cat. The room is prefect, an excellent bed and many good books.
Romana & Sheraz are really lovely hosts. I unfortunately was sick the time I was there. Therefor I was not as sociable as usual. But they did their best to help me (although I preferd to stay in bed most of the time). But we had some good conversations and I felt very welcome! The room is exaclty as described and the the flat is really close to the New Street Station, Shops and Restaurants. I would definitely stay with them again!
Romans and Sherez were the perfect hosts! Very helpful and friendly. The room is wonderful too- as other reviewers have said, an excellent bed and lovely ensuite bathroom.
Couldn't have asked for a more comfortable or friendly place in a really handy location.
I had a lovely time with Romana and Sheraz. Romana was very welcoming and made me feel very much at home. The flat is very comfortable and convenient for everything in central Birmingham. I'll certainly hope to stay with Romana and Sheraz again.
I didn't have a great stay. The location is hard to find, and I tried a number of different routes over my stay. It's located on the wrong side of a busy ring road, and so it was necessary to go through concrete underpasses. Birmingham is undergoing a lot of change, and the once thriving paradise circus is now full of homeless people. I travel all over the world, and did not feel safe here. I've stayed in Birmingham hotels many times and not had a problem - it was the feeling of going off in the wrong direction that I didn't like, and the flat is just plain hard to find.
The flat itself was noisy. The first night Romana and Sheraz were watching football loudly on the tv in there lounge. The flat is tiny and noise travels. At night I was woken by cat scratches on the slippery floor. Aircraft and road traffic can be clearly heard 24/7. On the second night I came in to find the lounge door shut and the TV playing a Movie full volume. The whole block was shaking. It felt very awkward and uncomfortable to open the door and ask them to turn it down, so I went to bed. With every boom the doors rattle. The building is cheaply constructed in a style similar to student halls of residence. No WiFi was provided until the last night when I saw Sheraz and he found the welcome pack I wasn't given earlier. There were cardboard boxes in room, full of random junk like CDs. The decor was nothing like the photograph, and there was dust everywhere.
The flat is one of 20 or so in the building, 5 of which form a gated community. The building is new but very down market. There were stains on communal corridor carpets and signs everywhere telling residents to keep noise down.
I didn't have a good stay, and won't be back. On one of the nights I read all the other glowing reviews in disbelief, as I lay in the cat scratched IKEA bed with flat pillows and wondered what on earth could have gone wrong.
This was not luxury by any definition. It was staying in a student's scruffy bedroom, and all their junk, for £50 a night.
Wonderful place to stay. Bed is very comfy. The private ensuite is nice and showerr is good. Hosts were friendly and tiger the cat was adorable. The best location. Will definitely stay there again.
Romana & Sheraz are very very kind, lovely room and very clean. Everything perfect thank you
