About This Listing
The Bothy is a conversion of a 17th Century Cotswold stone stable and a 20th Century kennel building.
On the ground floor is the living room with a beautiful wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom and a modern shower room. Whilst upstairs, which is accessed from a narrow oak staircase, you can find the twin bedroom. The living room has been fitted to retain all its original features and is furnished in period style. I have included many Georgian and Victorian pieces and have also included a large settee and two arm chairs, dining table and chairs for 4, corner cupboard and a dash of the 21st Century with a Sky television.
The Bothy is beautifully situated in the Postlip Coombe on the leeward side of the Cotswolds highest hill and yet only minutes from Winchcombe, a classic Cotswold "wool" town, renowned for its excellent shops, restaurants and architecture.
Lovely little cottage, Mark was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back.
Accurate listing, a really lovely cottage. Beautiful area, reasonably priced and Mark was helpful during our stay. Thoroughly recommended!
we fell for the bothy cottage from the photos of the surrounding countryside...the cottage itself lived up to those promises. beautiful cosy and with all you need including well stocked fireplace! marks arrangements were helpful and simple to follow.
the rooms were clean, tidy welcoming with useful maps and things to do.
A fantastic stay in a lovely cottage! It was our first time in the Cotswolds and we fell in love with the area! The cottage is nestled in a picturesque corner on the Cotswolds way, perfect for walks straight from your front door! Thank you for being so friendly and accommodating.
In three weeks of travel all over the UK this was our favorite place. We absolutely loved everything about it. The Bothy is updated in all the area's you would want (bathroom, kitchen, beds, etc) but rustic everywhere you would want (exposed beams, rustic exterior). It felt like a traditional country experience with all the comfort you could want.
Mark is an absolute gem. He gave us all kinds of great advice on where to go and what to see. He stopped in often to check on how we were doing.
Overall a terrific experience. Can praise it enough.
Beautiful setting, lovely property. Lots of wood ready for the wood burner :)
Mark was a friendly host.
If you need internet then be sure to book Muir cottage not the Bothy.
