The Miniloft is as described and shown in the pictures: small but cozy and very clean. Upstairs you have to watch your head. ;-)
At night it was a little noisy from outside. If you have a light sleep, we can recommend to bring some earplugs.
Isbel and Diogo were very nice to us. They picked us up at the nearest metro-station, gave us a warm welcome with some wine and bread at the Miniloft and provided us with some good advices for our stay. Thanks again!
The Miniloft is perfectly located to explore Barcelona without the need to use metro or busses. Barri Gòtic, Las Ramblas and the beach are in easy walking distance. Close to the Miniloft are some nice cafes and restaurants.
We enjoyed staying at the Miniloft and we can recommend it especially for cupels and easy going travelers. Enjoy yourselves!
We l(phone number hidden)eddd this mini-loft! The location was PERFECT-- we spent hours strolling the Born district and Gothic district-- both were magical and had so many treasures. The mini-loft was functional and there was more than enough space for 2-- it was cozy and roomy at the same time. We also appreciated Diogo who came to meet us at the Metro station-- he was very sweet and helpful. Highly recommended!
Isabel is really nice! She come to pick me up at Jaume I tube station; the miniloft is very central, for me is the best part in Barcelona; I had a nice time there so I highly recommend everyone to stay at Isabel's place;
The mini loft was lovely and cozy. It was in a great location and very close to the market which was wonderful for breakfasts. Close to the metro which made it so easy to get around. Isbel met us when we arrived and was a warm and gracious host. She is such a welcoming and lovely lady. She had stocked a bottle of water, which was so welcome with our late evening arrival after a long train ride. She also left us a bottle of wine and some necessities. My only advice is if you are a light sleeper bring some ear plugs, it is (email hidden)ly neighborhood and can get a bit noisy at night or early in the mornings. Would happily stay here again!
No doubt the location is ideal, in a great neighbourhood and in walking distance from tons of nice places. We absolutely loved El Born - and Barcelona of course!
Communication was very easy with Isbel and Diogo was very friendly when we met him at the apartment. He left us some basic food supply and a small bottle of Cava. Thank you for this warm welcome!
The name "miniloft" must be literally understood (no cute metaphor is hiding in this name...) : it's a tiny place with low ceilings (except at the entrance where there's no mezzanine) and with a tiny bathroom. You feel like in a doll house - which might be nice if you're a small person but becomes unpleasant if you're quite tall. Be aslo aware there is no door between toilets, bathroom, bedroom and living-room. I would recommend to stay here only with very intimate people... A "loft" is nice when it's large, not when you don't have intimacy any more.... Another important thing you should know is that there's no window in the "miniloft". It's quite dark and you get no natural light from outside, which is a pity when you're visiting Barcelona. You can't figure out the weather outdoors... The pictures embellish the miniloft and its brightness. The last reason of a possible disappointment is the noise coming from outside... The wooden door does not stop the noise of the street... Don't forget your earplugs because you'll need them!
If you like uncommon places and padlock instead of regular lock or keyhole, that's the place. If you like cheap and well located accommodation, that's also the place! Young and penniless couples, go for it! As for me I would have prefered to stay in a more cozy and comfortable flat with regular walls, ceilings and windows even if it implies to pay a bit more...
Hello Mathias,I'm sorry you do not find the miniloft for their needs, I think that never intend to mislead anyone in the advertisement is very clear, is a miniloft and why it is such a low price.
As for the windows, there are two small, but has, in short, in the advertisement is well specified all.
Anyway it has been a pleasure to have you, thank you very much and good luck.
