About This Listing
Please come to visit our lovely country home, built around the 1800's, set in beautiful upstate NY in the Catskills. We have several room options. This room is referred to as the Lynn Room. It is a modest sized room, with 2 twin beds. It is simple and quiet, on the back of the house, 2nd floor, and looks out on the garden. It doesn't have its own bathroom, but there are 2 bathrooms located on the second floor as well the ground floor bathroom can be used. Our house is just a few miles away from Woodstock, location of the annual Woodstock Film Festival. We are also close to the Bearsville Theatre, which boasts many fine musicians. We have a pool and hot tub and a beautiful garden area and a stream winds its way on the property as well. The pricing is per bed, $70 per night per bed. To reserve the room for private use, both beds will have to be reserved for $140 for the room per night.
We have a rule that you should feel at home and have a relaxing visit!
The Lynn Room is located on the back side of the house, on the second floor. There are several entrances.
James was an excellent, thoughtful host. When our plans changed and we had to arrive late, he was there to greet us and show us around--at 10 o'clock at night! The home and grounds were wonderful--authentic, artistic Woodstock and we enjoyed our stay immensely! There is a pool and hot tub in addition to beautiful flowers, trees and sculpture--Would recommend this b&b to everyone who enjoys quiet beauty and a considerate host.
My partner Michael stayed with James for a couple nights in the twin bedroom. James was a very welcoming and generous host, offering that Michael helps himself to the food in the kitchen. The room was very charming, clean and comfortable. The property was surrounded by gorgeous gardens, complete with a lovely pool and hot tub. James gave Michael a tour... the other rooms were even more delightful. Only a few minutes from Woodstock's main street, but it felt secluded. Well worth the price! We highly recommend it!
This was my first experience with airbnb and though the site was confusing and gave me some trouble, James and Julie were very communicative and helpful in the planning process right up until the last minute. They offer a beautiful and cozy space that really highlights the beauty and majesty of the nature in this part of the state. I will absolutely return when I need a place to stay in Woodstock in the future and encourage any good hearted folks looking for a cozy and well maintained space to stay up there to rest assured they will be in good hands with James and Julie!
