About This Listing
I'm a fellow traveler who goes to Europe at least once a year for weeks at a time so I love to meet new people! I will be travelling for the next couple of weeks so I open my apartment to you. Here are the details of my apartment:
Clean, nice and relatively new, apartment in Jersey City. 17 minute walk to PATH train to NYC (Journal Square). 11 minutes to World Trade Center and 25 minutes to 34th street from Journal Square. The bus leaves to Journal Square pretty much right outside my apartment and takes 5 minutes which means, you are in New York in less that 25 minutes!
It's a 3 bedroom, but I live here with one roommate named Orion who would be nice enough to help you. There is a supermarket 2 blocks away and a HUGH park about 5 block away. Your room has a queen bed and a closet that you may use.. And, of course the bathroom, kitchen and living room you are free to peruse! I also have a washer and dryer in the basement for your cleaning needs.

Mi casa es su casa... just make sure you clean mi casa like su casa:) This goes without saying, but make sure you wash your dishes, keep the room tidy, etc. Also, no stealing either:) Let make this a fun experience.
Check out varies, but make sure you are prepared to leave by 10am.
I didn't get to meet Mike, but his roommate (Orion) was there to greet us. He's very pleasant, sweet and accommodating. The room was a nice size and the bed comfortable. There were clean towels waiting for us. Stores, groceries and restaurants within walking distance. The train station is about a mile away to go into Manhattan. It's a nice walk, but if you don't feel like walking, you can take a cab. We felt secure and at home when we were there and didn't encounter anyone else. I would definitely stay at Mike's again. Thanks Mike!
Really good place to stay. Bed small but clean and comfortable. Room dark and quiet. We only saw Micheal when we arrived, but he was always only a text message away!
Mike is very cool and he is a kind person! He cares about his surfers! I didn't see him a lot but he took care. He is very welcoming and knows how to make you cool with his home.
Thanks you Mike !!
Mike was very co-operative & surely this is is great value for money as long as you don't mind a short cab ride to train station (It's a 20-25 minute train ride from the train station to NYC)
Apartments is decent & pretty clean, only thing I would like to mention was missing AC, since it was a little cold any ways the night I was there, it didn't matter to me but on a warm night it probably will
Overall highly satisfied and highly recommend this to every one.
I stayed at Mike's place for 3 nights, and it was good place. The neighbourhood is probably not for everyone, but everybody I talked to was helpful and friendly. I had a car with me, which i could park somewhere, but I do not recommend it.
I was there only to sleep and plan the rest of my trip. The rest of the time i was in New York. Manhattan is not far away if you take the Path train from the Journal Square station, which is short busride from Mike's place.
I met Mike a few times and he is a great guy.
Mike took great care of us as soon as we got there. His flat is clean and homely. We weren't sure what to do with ourselves in the city but thanks to him and his cheat sheet we managed to conquer the city. He comes at a high recommendation from us. Super cool guy too!
