Our 1st Airbnb experience was great --- thanks to Beatrice & her lovely apartment! Unfortunately, we never met Beatrice during our (hubby & me) stay might be due to our hectic schedules but we keep on communicating thru email & airbnb -- & she responded to my emails quickly. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Beatrice was kind enough to allow us to check-in early and we were able to store our luggage before we departed in Paris. Additionally, Beatrice was thoughtful providing us with some bread, jams & eggs plus a welcome wine. The apartment is strategically located --- carrefour market (supermarket), rotisserie (try the chicken, yummy! -- just downstairs), bakery, Mcdonalds and the metro station (Cadet station) like one block away (about 3-4 mins). Bed and bed sheet (which I'm really particular) -- are of good standard. Just a minor issue for us -- the size of the shower (perhaps this is common in Paris due to minimal space) but well-compensated with the strong water pressure & two different shower heads.
To sum up all, we would love to stay @ this place again and to Beatrice, thank you so much for making our stay in Paris really great!
We absolutely loved staying in Beatrice's place, all very comfortable and very well set up. Beatrice was a great host, her paris guide was great and we tried a number of her suggested eateries, all really great. We Felt really safe and there is everything within less than a minutes walk, bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and even a popular local bar. Apartment was sound proofed which made it most comfortable. I highly recommend Beatrice place to anyone!
The apartment had everything that I needed and Beatrice made sure that I had eggs, bread, cereal, juice, coffee/tea, cold water in the fridge, and a welcome bottle of wine. She provided towels and even some toiletry items in the bedroom. I found the apartment to be comfortable, spacious, and I really appreciated how it was decorated. I appreciate that Beatrice left a book of recommendation for restaurants/markets and things to go see/do in the area.
The area the apartment is located is fine. As a young woman traveling alone, a word of caution, I did not feel safe at all exiting at the Metro 4 Anvers train station and walking from this station to the apartment. I am originally from New York City, so I do not scare easily. I did not feel safe both during the day and especially at night. I made the mistake of stopping at this station three times. Afterwards, I did everything possible to avoid that station and went out of my way to get to the Metro 7 Cadet station. Several grocery stores are located extremely close to the apartment, which was a nice convenience. If you don't mind walking, I really enjoyed the 30 minute stroll to the main touristy area of Paris, when time/weather permitted.
Beatrice couldn't meet us but sent us very simple directions to get to the apartment from the Gare Du Nord - it's walkable if you don't have very large suitcases and easy to find. The apartment is compact but sufficient for 2 people. Beatrice kindly let us use her Mac which made planning our days and searching out locations very much easier - plus we were able to stream some of our favourite music tracks while we got ready to go out. The location is great - right in the heart of Montmartre and close to lots of Cafes, Restaurants and bars plus a little supermarket on the corner of the street just a few metres away. The apartment is perhaps not best suited to a middle aged couple like us - it would probably suit a younger generation. The area is very lively so not for you if you want to get away from it all. All in all we had a great time in Paris - most of the major museums are within a 30-35 minute walk as are the open top bus tours and the river trips - just make sure you budget realistically, because Paris is expensive!
This apartment was so central & so convenient. Everything we needed was close by, restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, wine, cheese, fruit. The Metro is less that 10 minutes walk away. It has a largish bedroom with plenty of room to open suitcases but no hanging space. The queen bed was very comfortable. Beatrice also organised a blowup bed so that our cousin could stay the weekend with us. The internet worked. There is also a very good laundromat just across the road. There is one flight of stairs to the apartment but they're wide & there is room to move. A couple of drawbacks if you're staying a while - there is no comfortable couch, the kitchen is small & the shower is so small that you can't bend over. But this is central Paris & if you want somewhere convenient this apartment is that. Although we didn't see Beatrice her directions by email were great & getting the key went extremely smoothly. We enjoyed seeing a lot of Paris from this very central location. Thanks Beatrice.
The apartment was comfortable and well equipped. Our host Beatrice was charming, reliable and helpful. Her English is excellent and we were pleasantly suprised to find hat she had provided breakfast and some drinks in the fridge to comfort us until we could get to the shops the next day.
All our expectations were met and we would be very happy to stay there again on our next trip to Paris.
The neighbourhood (like the rest of Paris) was clean, streets well marked, served by public transport, and conveniently located as a base for our wanderings around Paris
What a cute place!! This apt is right in the heart of Montmartre and walking distance to almost everything. We did not get a chance to meet Beatrice, but enjoyed the bottle of wine she left for us! She really thinks of everything for her guests and it certainly shows!
