  • We enjoyed our stay and recommend it. It is a nice apartment, well equipped with everything you may need- utensils, dishes, glasses, corkscrew, microwave, toaster, etc.(except a clock- bring a travel one). The shower has excellent water pressure. Towels and soap are provided.
There is a small safe [a Kindle fits, but an iPad does not]. You may want to leave extra cash and your passport there. We talked to three separate couples who had a team of pickpockets target them [one had her phone taken]. they scare pigeons that fly overhead and make believe that their guano has dropped on you. they then "helpfully" using water clean you off while they try to clean you out [steal your valuables]. Worse, a Frenchman had been smashed over the head and his phone taken. So stay alert and do not show valuables.
There is also a communal washing/dryer machine available on the 10th floor.
Mateo, the property manager, is very professional and is very good about promptly answering emails. We never met him but dealt in person with two of his employees [or coworkers] who were friendly and helpful.
You will sign a contract when you arrive. On it are listed everything in the apartment and its value (I guess if anything is broken or missing, you are charged).
The location is good, close to the Plaza Italia subway station. It is only about a block from the Botanical Garden [be aware that it closes ridiculously early- 1:30 PM]. The Japanese Garden and MALBA are within easy walking distance, too and are worth a visit.
The currency exchange offered is fair (just .6 pesos less than the blue rate).
It is also nice to walk around Palermo Viejo (Old Palermo).
If you want vegetarian food, walk to "Spring Restaurante Vegetariano" on Guatemala Street. It has a buffet with a large selection of mostly very tasty, healthy food. If you eat in it is all-you-can-eat or it is by the weight for takeout.

  • Great, Long-Term stay. First, we can only echo what so many of the reviewers have said: Mateo was an excellent host, always willing to help out, and made our stay quite comfortable.
As for the apartment, we stayed there nearly two months and had no substantial problems. The bed, although slightly small, was quite comfortable. There is lots of room, with a sofa and a dining table for four. The cable TV had lots of English channels for movies and shows (although no BBC or CNN English news), and the wifi worked fine. The kitchen was well-equipped with just about everything you could need to cook for yourself (which saved us a lot of money). The bathroom is full-sized and everything was clean and worked well. The apartment is a 2nd floor unit, with a large balcony overlooking the street below. There is a common laundry on the tenth floot.
As for the location, one can hardly find a better place for transportation. The apartment is a 1 minute walk to the intersection of Borges and Santa Fe at Plaza Italia, where you can catch the D Line subway, and more bus lines that I care to count. We took the buses from Plaza Italia all over the city and not once had to change buses. I don’t think there is a better location for transportation in residential areas of Buenos Aires.
Speaking of the area, we were quite happy with it. All the Palermo parks, zoo, Japanese garden, and Botanical Garden are just a short walk away. In addition, Palermo Viejo, Hollywood, and Soho are also only 10 minutes or so by walking. We loved walking down to these areas for dinner each evening, and never ran out of good places to eat.
In sum, we were quite happy with the rental and would rent it again should we need to stay in BA.

  • We were staying in Buenos Aires over New Year's Eve and we stayed at Mateo's flat. It's location is great; close to tube and buses and few blocks away from amazing bars of Palermo. We can't imagine staying anywhere else if we go back to Buenos Aires. The Internet worked great at all times and Mateo is super friendly guy helping us with changing money and driving us to the airport on 1st of January as there were no cabs out on the streets. Thanks for your help Mateo.

  • Mateo was an excellent host. He was very responsive in coordinating our stay, he met us exactly on time on the day of our arrival, and was very helpful when we were leaving. We had an issue with our aerolineas argentinas flight, and he called the customer service for us to ensure we got on our flight.

The apartment is well located, at the edge of soho palermo, beside the plaza italia metro stop (also close to the botanical gardens and zoo!). Its about a 15-20min walk to plaza serrano which is where alot of the restaurants/bars in soho palermo are.
The actual apartment was very clean, and looked very much like the photos. There is a carrefour mini grocery across the street which was super convenient. The building has good security and feels safe, its relatively new. It is spacious for a studio and the modern furniture makes it feel young and fun. We very much enjoyed our stay.

  • I loved the location of this apt in BA! So close to the Zoo & Botanical Gardens, plus the fun-to-walk in hoods of Soho. The apt itself is large & full of light. It's simple and clean. I recommend it for a single or couple, anyone else would be crowded I think in this studio.

  • Great stay in this very well located apartment. The flat is clean and modern with a comfortable bed, decent internet and a nice balcony. There are grocery shops and restaurants nearby as well as lots of bus lines. The area felt very safe and the building is secure.

Mateo was a great host helping us with money changing and bringing an iron within a couple of hours of us asking for one. Highly recommended.

  • I don't have enough stars to review this awesome apartment and Mateo as a host!
I spent 10 days in Palermo Soho and it was the best Buenos Aires experience. Location is perfect: just around the corner from Plaza Italia, from where you can get almost to any part of the city by bus or tube (or just take a taxi!). Palermo itself is such a wonderful neighbourhood, full of cafes, small shops, trendy bars and good restaurants.
The flat is clean and nice. The area is safe: as a solo female traveller I was worried about safety before I came to Palermo, but really not part of the city feels safer.
Mateo is a perfect host!! Very attentive, very helpful, replying the emails quickly, answering all the questions, solving any problems. I highly appreciate his help: I was lucky to rent a flat from him.
All in all: awesome! Can recommend this place or any other property from Mateo as a host! Thank you again, Mateo!!

  • We had a great 1 week stay in this apartment. Mateo was a very kind and helpful host. The location is fantastic-- a very easy walk to many restaurants and shops and only a 5 minute or less walk to the subway. The apartment itself was very clean, modern and well equipped. The wifi was a bit spotty but Mateo was very responsive and helped us out with it. Basically we rebooted it by unplugging and replugging which worked fine! I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the wonderful city of Buenos Aires
