SR Longhorn Parlor is a retired milking parlor. It sleeps 4 comfortably but up to 6.
Our 82 acre working ranch is 5 miles from downtown Burns. A quiet place to decompress, hike, bird watch or bike ride. Marshall Ln. is a bumpy 1 mile dirt road that is used by 4 other families. Go slow and keep to your left. If you come across opposing traffic keep right and park (they’ll go around you). Ask us about add on services. We are full time on premises & here to help you customize your stay.

The space
Located 1.5 miles from The Silvies River and 5 miles from down town Burns. Our location has little to no light pollution. A perfect setting for a breathtaking night of stargazing. A must see. Guided ranch tours, boarding& electric bike rentals available for a fee. Liability waiver needed. We are a ranch so be prepared for a bumpy road, some flies, mosquitoes and dust. We spray, provide mosquito spray and keep the rental very clean. This is a heads up for anybody that hasn’t visited a ranch before. Most nights are bug free, this is just a courtesy warning.

Guest access
Hauling your belonging into the studio is a no fuss with parking very close to the front door. There is a dedicated BBQ area for studio guests and is located right outside your front door. Livestock boarding in the barn or corral, bike rental and guided tours are available upon approved requests and can be reserved for an additional fee and liability waiver signed. No person is allowed inside livestock areas without a ranch guide.

Other things to note
Marshall Ln. is a 1 mile dirt road that is access to 4 other properties. It’s bumpy and well traveled. It’s wide enough for two cars however, coming up on opposing traffic can cause you to pause. If you feel uncomfortable please pull as far to right as you safely can and they will pass. Keeping your speed below 10mph ensures you have plenty of time to react and don’t come up on others too quickly. This is not our property and others use it regularly.

Neighborhood highlights

Your drive from town to our ranch will take you alongside working farmland, The Native Paiute Indian Reservation and peekaboos The Silvies River. Marshall Ln. is off of West Loop Rd and it does just that, loops. Keep to your right on the loop and you’ll make a full circle and end up back at the reservation. It’s a beautiful drive. Marshall lane is a 1 mile dirt road. It’s a bit bumpy and dusty. Keep to the right side of the road when approaching opposing traffic comes. Keep slow speed and stop if you need. Keep right does not mean turn right, stay on Marshall Ln. by keeping left in direct.
