The National Zoo & Rock Creek Park. The unit sits on Rock Creek Park. The National Zoo and running trails are all steps away from the front door. Area is green, hilly and quite beautiful to walk around.
Easy access to 14th street, the Washington Monument, Museums, the Capitol Building and Convention Center.
Close to the Action. At the same time, you are a short stroll away from the hustle and bustle of 18th street. Adams Morgan is a lively, eclectic area with great bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
Safety. This is one of the safest areas of DC. Most of NW is pretty safe but this area is a lot more established than some of the up and coming neighborhoods. Take caution as you would in any city.
Every form of transportation is an option.
Parking? Free, on-site and security monitored.
Bikeshare? Super easy. There is a pickup location within a block (and spread out all around the neighborhood). You can rent a bike for $7/day or get a 3 day pass for $15.
Metro? The Red, Green and Yellow lines are a 3-4 block walk from the unit. There are Smart Cards in the apartment for you to use, simply take the card with you when you head out for the day and you can charge it at any metro station using a debit card, credit card or cash.
Bus? There is a bus stop 2 very short blocks away where multiple lines pick up every 7-10 minutes. You can get downtown to the National Mall in about 20 minutes.
There are maps of the city and transit information in the apartment.

I'm pretty laid back. Please just be reasonable and leave it how you found it.
The apt was almost exactly as described, very quiet, and in a lovely and convenient location. We had everything we needed. Would stay here again.
Brynn's listing was right on. The apartment is quiet and cozy, in a great location, walking to many areas. The bed was very comfortable, as was the couch when watching tv. The kitchen had all the supplies needed (Safeway not too far away).
Was wonderful to be inside while listening to the rain, hearing the thunder and seeing lightening late in the evening.
When we had a question, Brynn, responded quickly.
thanks for making our first time with airbnb memorable.
The apartment building is nicely positioned next to the forested area of the zoo, so there is a sense of privacy in this location. Interior building renovations were occurring during our stay, so the property will be more attractive for future guests. Unfinished things in the apartment (e.g. closet doors missing) affected appearance but not functionality.
Brynn conveyed enthusiasm about our booking, and willingness to answer any questions about DC. Since our daughter lives there we did not need to contact Brynn for help with DC, but she was always responsive to emails and texts.
The queen-sized bed is super-comfortable, but if you like a firmer pillow you may want to bring your own. There are thoughtful touches, like plush towels, high quality toiletries, and the kitchen stocked with basics.
Brynn was very welcoming and helpful. It is a lovely location on the park and so centrally located. The apartment is well set up, comfortable and charming. I will definitely keep in mind for future trips.
Brynn's place is a very nice small place fit for a couple of people. The location is great and she is a very good communicator. I'd stay there again.
The location was perfect, right by the back enterance to the zoo and directly between the green/yellow and red metro lines (about 0.7 miles to each). The view is beautiful right over Rock Creek park and the zoo with big beautiful window overlooking. Brynn was very easy to get ahold of and answered questions promtly. The bed was comfortable and the the furniture is as well, the couch is very big and wide and easy for small child to sleep on comfortably. We enjoyed having a kitchen which had everything we could need to make simple meals. Shower always had hot water which is a plus!! IT was very quiet as well besides some general background noise. We really enjoyed the convience of having washer/dryer which Brynn provies a laundry card as well as soap! Brynn also provided nice set of shampoo/conditioner/soap. My husband was excited about the 3 different coffee makers available! This was our first use of Airbnb and it was much better than using a hotel for us and our 2 small children!!
