Interaction with Guests
Check-In. You are free to arrive whenever you like so long as it is after 2:00 p.m. You will receive a number code once you book and use that to get into the apartment.
I respect your privacy but am always available by phone, text, email or Airbnb message if you need anything.
The National Zoo & Rock Creek Park. The unit sits on Rock Creek Park. The National Zoo and running trails are all steps away from the front door. Area is green, hilly and quite beautiful to walk around.
Easy access to 14th street, the Washington Monument, Museums, the Capitol Building and Convention Center.
Close to the Action. At the same time, you are a short stroll away from the hustle and bustle of 18th street. Adams Morgan is a lively, eclectic area with great bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
Safety. This is one of the safest areas of DC. Most of NW is pretty safe but this area is a lot more established than some of the up and coming neighborhoods. Take caution as you would in any city.
Every form of transportation is an option.
Parking? Free, on-site and security monitored.
Bikeshare? Super easy. There is a pickup location within a block (and spread out all around the neighborhood). You can rent a bike for $7/day or get a 3 day pass for $15.
Metro? The Red, Green and Yellow lines are a 3-4 block walk from the unit. There are Smart Cards in the apartment for you to use, simply take the card with you when you head out for the day and you can charge it at any metro station using a debit card, credit card or cash.
Bus? There is a bus stop 2 very short blocks away where multiple lines pick up every 7-10 minutes. You can get downtown to the National Mall in about 20 minutes.
There are maps of the city and transit information in the apartment.
Other Things to Note
I am flexible with rates and length of stay. Reasonable offers accepted. Long term rates negotiable. Feel free to email with any questions.
I'm pretty laid back. Please just be reasonable and leave it how you found it.
Brynn was so welcoming! She gave us great recommendations and was there via text message every step of the way.
We enjoyed our stay at Brynn's apartment, which was a nice size for a couple. Super comfortable bed, and a nicely stocked kitchen for preparing light meals. As advertised, it's only a short walk to Adams Morgan restaurants and to the Zoo, and a bit longer walk to the Metro. The building was undergoing some construction during our stay, causing some noise, but was otherwise quiet.
I loved staying at Brynn's place, it was exactly as advertised. She was very accomodating and made it very easy to get settled in and check out. The neighbourhood was quiet as advertised but still in distance to public transport, bars, restaurants. If you are into great outdoor activties(trails, parks, zoos), this area is perfect for you
I wouldnt change anything and would recommend any location managed by Brynn for any future travels.
Brynn totally made us feel welcome by keeping in touch and offering to help with travel suggestions, replying promptly and just generally trying to make our stay enjoyable.
My stay was both great and freaky. The place is wonderfully homely and very nice and clean. Plus Brynn is awesome and was able to allow for an early check in.
But coming home (after breakfast) to some random maintenance guy in the apartment on the morning that I was checking out really blew my mind. It actually ruined my reading day of exit completely. It was a scheduled maintenance (after reading the signed all over that he showed me) but one that I was not aware of when I checked in.
Excellent stay! This was our first Airbnb experience and it exceeded expectations. Brynn was very helpful and informative (and easy to reach with questions) throughout the process without being intrusive. The apartment was just as the pictures suggested - clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, the towels soft and plush and the wifi worked well with an easy connect. The neighborhood was great with a relatively easy walk to the metro (especially if you like walking) but other common transportation services are available if you prefer. Easy access to the park and other interesting sights as well as shopping and dining options too. Great views from the apartment, and it is very bright. We would absolutely stay here again.
Enjoyed 5 nights in the apartment. The apartment was very comfortable, included everything I needed, and was a welcome change from the tropical business travel hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was strong... my two must haves for a good trip.

I am an attorney by trade and an entrepreneur by luck and circumstance. I am one of the first Airbnb hosts in DC and I've worked for Congress for over 6 years. That said, I've had a front row seat watching this vibrant city grow and I am a great source of local knowledge. On the flip side, I love to travel. If I am not in DC you can usually find me in Honolulu. Mahalo baby.
