Great time and fantastic host. Very convenient to Cambridge for the half and full ironman events. Dimitri really made us feel at home and was very gracious.
Airbnb was recommended to me by a co-worker who had a great experience... I will surely do the like! Dimitri made the entire process feel as if we were arranging to stay at an 'old friend's' house! Each and every correspondence was filled with a welcoming note; good information in a casual and assuring tone! All apprehensions about staying at a strangers house were gone after the first message. It was easy to see why so many others were happy with their stay with him. We can't wait to revisit.
Dmitri was quite welcoming when we arrived. He was headed out of town for the weekend, but gave us a lovely tour of the home and property and a nice run down of the house.
We had a great stay! The house feels as though it's in the middle of the nowhere (which is just what we wanted), but is only a couple minutes away from the center of town where you can pick up groceries and other supplies. There's a also a great little place to buy crabs and either seafood within view of the dock. We will definitely come back again if we're looking for a private getaway.
Dimitri took time with us when we arrived and showed us around. He helped me find an iron and ironing board. He was very flexible around the needs of my husband's parents for separate beds (I brought an inflatable bed for one of them). The pier, gazebo, and private beach were wonderful, and I loved being able to take a swim.
Dimitri's place was exactly as we expected and we really could not have been happier there. It was a perfect location for the Eagleman triathlon in terms of distance to the race site and it was great to feel the breeze off the water through the house.
We had a wonderful weekend at Dimitri's house in Trappe, Md. When we first arrived he showed us all the amenities including a fully stocked refrigerator. The house in a very beautiful setting right on the Choptank River with a great view of Cambridge, Maryland.
Dimitri also told us of an Oyster Festival going on the very day we were there, so we enjoyed ourselves there as well.
Dimitri was very helpful and gracious in all our dealings with him. He even called after we were home to make sure we got back home safely. I recommend him most highly to anyone traveling the Eastern Shore of Maryland who wants to enjoy a great riverfront home.
