Arles was wonderful, and so was Anne and her home. She was a great host, going over the basics with a little orientation when I first arrived, and each morning there was a small tray ready for me with a cup for coffee or tea, a napkin, sugar, etc. The house and patio have a lot of character; the house is old (she doesn’t know how old), and it’s fun how she’s made it so comfortable (check out how the shower-curtain rod is “attached” to the wall!) It’s a clean and well-kept home, in easy walking distance to almost all the sites in Arles (the Saturday market is just a couple of blocks away). Oh yes: and Anne laughs a lot: it’s always nice to hear people laughing, and I’d love to stay there again.
Anne warmly welcomed me to her charming home and garden. The room was comfortable and very quiet. Good conversations with a talented woman. A great place to stay!
Anne's place is an oasis of peace, beauty and luxury in a small but crowded city during the festival. It is a perfect base to start from, in order to explore a lovely city and festival.
Anne's house is lovely, as the pictures show. Though there is no big garden as i thought, the room is much bigger than on picture.
AND: the entire house is extra ordi - :)!
So i just loved staying at Anne's place.
And yes once again: the house is a bit the spirit of the person: it goes as one. Lovely and full of it all, except bullshit :)!
Anne is a wonderful host, and her home is in close proximity to all of the sites within the ancient city of Arles. She has created a wonderful home with clever and colorful design touches throughout. Anne has an insiders eye to goings on in town, and was always helpful and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay immensely, in part due to her warm hospitality.
We enjoyed staying in Anne's home in Arles France. We stayed on the top floor in a large room that was clean and comfortable, large block walls, a must see. We also enjoyed visiting with Anne at her home and Shop. Her house interior has many interesting things she has collected, fun to stroll around the house and enjoy them, she is very creative. She told us about the must see's in the area and how to get around town. If my travel's took me to Arles again I would book with Anne.
Oh, what fun we had staying with Anne in Arle! Both Anne and her colorfully decorated historic home were delightful. Anne is truly an artist... Our memories make us smile! The room was large and airy, the kitchen had every convenience and the garden was a lovely place for a sip of wine after touring the sights in this ancient city. Our special treat was to find Anne (just by accident) in her shop on one of the winding streets. We were delighted to find that many of the colorful decorations she made for her home she also made to sell in her shop. We were able to buy "one of a kind" gifts for our "one of a kind" special friends at home. Don't miss this opportunity when you visit Anne in Arle!
This true 'arlesienne' house is really cute, very clean and with everything needed. It's close to the Arles center, right next to the Rhone and the Roquette area.
Anne creates decorative items and is in love with tissues : you'll find a house full of colors and objects bargain-hunted.
And finally Anne is a perfect host : nice and available.
She even took time to come to a little exposure organized after my photo workshop.
Hope to see her again for my next trip to Arles !
Anne was my first Airbnb experience and she is great. She has a charming home. But be careful, the stairway is stone, circular and (I’m 69) I walked very carefully. We arranged to meet at 4:00 Friday afternoon at her home--she welcomed me, got me acquainted with her home and returned to her store.
I had asked her to arrange a massage for me and she set one up for 9:00 Saturday morning.
That evening, I went to a film “Quartet” in English with French subtitles.
After I entered the theatre, Anne came in later with a friend and we greeted briefly.
She left for work early Saturday morning and I had one of the best massages ever!! Thank you Anne for arranging it.
I invited her to dinner Saturday night and we had a great meal, good conversation--75% french, 25% English.
Merci pour tout Anne!
Anne is a wonderful host, very sweet, kind and friendly and staying with her made me feel like I was right at home in Arles. Her house is a 20 min walk from the Train station along the river, which was easy to find and is centrally located to visit all the historic sites. Her cosy home is very colourful, bright and tidy. The private room is large and very comfortable and the bathroom is shared with Anne, and any guest that might be in her other rented room (bed linen and towels included). The wifi connection was not always strong in the room but in the living area it was great. She offered me use of anything in the kitchen to cook with and room in the fridge. She gave me suggestions on cultural things to visit and day trips to take which were both very much appreciated and enjoyed.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
