The host was wonder! Neighborhood was quiet. Short taxi ride to Bourbon Street. The house was spacious and comfortable.
The host gave us all the necessary info to get access to the home. The listing was very accurate and the house was very clean and in great shape! We were able to take advantage of some of the recommendations Marco gave for things to do and places to eat and were all good and worth doing. I would definitely recommend both the hosts and home!
I stayed at Marco's home with a group of girls, and it really could not have been a better place for us. The facilities were in great shape and we had tons of space for sleeping, getting ready, and relaxing.
The location is in a very safe neighborhood and was centrally located for us to walk to Magazine Street but easily get to the French Quarter.
Marco was an extremely communicative and warm host. In addition to being helpful with the place itself, he also gave us a number of fantastic recommendations.
I will definitely be back if I need to find a place for a large group!
Marco's place is just as pictured. Spacious and comfortable, well located, and clean. Six of us, including an 80+ year old, enjoyed staying there.
Everything was as pictured. Marco contacted us prior to our arrival with the information to get into the property. The locks are electronic with pass codes. The battery died on the front door, but Marco was there pretty quickly to replace the battery. There is gated parking on the property, but the gate wasn't working consistently, so we chose to park on the pad in front of the house. Other cars were parked on the street, so we weren't concerned. At night, we walked to Magazine Street for some good food and libations.
If you're a coffee drinker, bring your own. There is a Kureg, and a pod and filters to make your own, but no coffee. This was a bit of a let down, because the closest coffee house or grocery is a few blocks away. The other Airbnb properties we have stayed at provided coffee and tea. So, I assumed they all do. I like to start my day with coffee, so this was a little disappointing.
The house was everything we could have wanted, and comfortably fit 8 of us. The neighbourhood was nice, though be prepared to cab/use public transport to get around. Marco was super helpful, sending us a list of suggestions for restaurants and stuff, and was really relaxed and easy to deal with.
