Interaction with guests

I am in my 30's, starting a career as a science teacher. I have lived in Brooklyn for years (in this home for 7 years!) and love to meet new people and can help you with a variety of interests/directions. And of course....any further inquiries, feel free to ask! I like to be sure any guest in my home feels at home.

House Rules

I look forward to providing a comfortable, clean environment for my guests and just ask that you maintain this and leave the space as you found it. I love to meet people from all backgrounds, cultures, customs and have not had a need to make 'rules'. I do ask my guests to simply respect our neighbors. And if returning late in the evening, to be respectfully quiet.

Emily's place is beautiful -- I highly recommend it! She is a very friendly host, there's a gorgeous garden out back, and the neighborhood is one of Brooklyn's prettiest. A great place to stay!

What an absolutely delightful stay. The surrounding area is filled with unique shops and eateries. Very up and coming. Downtown Manhattan is only 15-20 minutes away by train. Emily was a warm and inviting host. Free coffee and tea! The apartment was clean and quite roomy and filled with character and charm. I will definitely be coming back!!! Jesse Liam

Emily, was such a wonderful host and the house has such a warm and welcoming vibe. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and its very close to lots of museums and parks. Train station is a block away and tons of amazing food choices and bars. 20 min train ride from the airport and 20 min commute to Manhattan, 10 min to Williamsburg and Fort Green. Its one of the best places I've stayed in NY and I would definitely recommend it. I will definitely be back.

Emily was a super accommodating hostess. We arrived late and left early and she was super easygoing. A perfect balance of attentive with lots of space. The place is also really nicely located close to a couple cool places in bed stuy and the subway. Highly recommend staying here!!

We stayed for five nights at Emily's place in Brooklyn and it was perfect. We enjoyed morning coffee in the beautiful back garden and slept well on a comfy bed after a day of exploring the city. Emily was very welcoming and a great hostess. All logistics about the stay (key pick up, etc.) were very clearly communicated, so no travel related stress whatsoever. The location is perfect: close to the subway, but on a very quiet street. We loved our stay and hope to return next time we visit.
