Todo bien en el departamento. Tal cual la descripcion en la pagina. Karla muy atenta en nnuestra estadia.
Nice and cozy apartment, definitely large enough for our family of three. Julien was available to answer all our questions throughout our trip, which was very much appreciated. While the immediate neighborhood isn't the most expensive or prestigious in Paris, it's certainly very vibrant area with lots of bars, pubs, and restaurants nearby. Easy access to metro, easy to navigate Paris from this location.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable and in a great location, close to everything . Nice little walk to a market for groceries. We were very happy there, would stay again for sure.
My sister and I booked this apartment last minute and were impressed with the swift reply and easy booking. The apartment is slightly smaller than we expected but was a good size for the both of us. Although some details appear unfinished, overall the apartment is in good nick. Dorssaf met us at the apartment and gave us a warm welcome. The apartment is in a great location for eating out and is literally 10 minutes from the Pompidou centre and hotel De Ville. So great base for exploring without having to get on the metro. Although the etielle Marcel metro is only a short stroll away with a line direct to gare du nord train station. Overall, a great little base in Paris
Karla is very kind. They helped us more. Location of the apartment is great. Metro just 1 min by walk.
Inside of the apartment is not good. All dishes were old and also beds.
After receiving reservation I read "If you lose key, you should pay 1500 Euro fine". It is crazy.
Hmmmm, the bedroom bed is indeed a couple years old, however the sofa bed was delivered brand new less than 2 months before your arrival! Dishes are white or clear glass, and standard silverware. No chips, scratches and clean, but I'll take a closer look to see if there is anything that needs to be replaced. Thanks for telling me.
About the key, to replace a lost one is only about 50 euros. What you are referring to is the sticker we have on the back of the door which says, "Please don't leave apartment key in lock in apartment when you depart, cost to reopen is 1500 euros." We had 2 guests in less than 6 months who left keys in the back of the door when they shut the apartment door, both situations were on weekends. When this happens we have to call an emergency locksmith to cut the door open and replace the 8 point lock system and get 6 copies of expensive keys remade. It costs about 1500 euros to do all that - I know it's crazy, but it's the way it is in Paris. After these 2 instances, airbnb suggested we make a note to renters to warn them of the cost of replacement to avoid problems, and luckily our sticker has worked.
A representative of the host greeted us at the apartment and provided a quick tour of the apartment.
Pros: Very convenient location, close to Metro and walking distance to the bakeries and cafes in Le Marais neighborhood.
Cons: No kettle to boil hot water. Washing machine is noisy and takes 3 hours to do one load. Drying takes another 1 hour. Plug in the corner of the living room by the mirror and the window did not work and so the nearby lamp stand could not be used. No cutting board and there were only small glass bowls to eat cereal in the morning. The shower controls were confusing and shower stall is extremely small and short. Even though the apartment is listed as non-smoking, we can still smell smoke in the common staircase and inside the apartment. The vanity sink is too shallow and too high, so any quantity of water will overflow.
We don't have a kettle, but we do have a microwave and stove! The washing machine is only 1 year old, and European washing machines are known for taking longer than usual, so this is pretty standard. I have plugged the lamp into the correct outlet in the living room and it works just fine. Thanks for letting me know about the cutting boards missing, I just bought two new ones. This is the first time I've heard a comment about the shower controls being confusing (just two dials - temp and on/off) and smoke - maybe a neighbor had a guest or something. Not sure, but sorry about that! As for the sink, you can see a photo of the sink in the bathroom pics. It seems to serve its purpose just fine, especially considering we have many repeat renters… Anyway, happy to hear you enjoyed your stay!
