Pine Point is my fabulous 1960's architect designed house with amazing sea views. It is furnished in a laid back mix of vintage and quirky contemporary.
It's bed and breakfast Jim, but not as we know it. Think boutique guesthouse rather than seaside landlady. Our bed linen is pure cotton and our hot water continuous.
Each room has teas/coffees/mineral water/biscuits etc.
Breakfast is buffet style with cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, cheeses, eggs, croissants etc.
Ventnor is by far the best place to visit on the island which itself is one of ‘the world’s hippest hangouts’ according to Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.
There's great food, (from fine dining to crab on the beach), quirky shops and stunning coastal walks.
The island has festivals and carnivals galore or you can just chill on the sun deck - we have a micro climate in Ventnor and get more sunshine than anywhere else in Britain - fact!
NB A very cute miniature Jack Russell bitch lives at Pine Point.
THE OTHER ROOMS AT PINE POINT ARE LISTED SEPARATELY BECAUSE OF THE WAY THAT THE AIRBNB CALENDAR WORKS
All guests may use the sun deck at Pine Point.
Interaction with Guests
We love to be able to advise guests on where they might like to visit - especially local restaurants - all tried and tested by ourselves!
There is ample off street parking at Pine Point and bus routes are close by.
We also have a secure bicycle shed for those who want to explore the island on two wheels and cycle hire is available.
Please respect the vintage furniture.
Debby was a great host and very helpful. The room was great as was the bathroom and the whole house. Great stay!
From the outset Debbie did everything to make us feel so welcome. Our room was spotless, tasteful and spacious with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, a real feast! On our final night Debbie even allowed us to use her beautiful terrace to eat our fish and chips overlooking the sea. Cutlery and ketchup provided on request! Loved our stay, highly recommended. Thank you.
Ventnor is a pleasant seaside town, with good local restaurants (booking recommended as there is limited capacity).
Pine Point B&B is in a lovely location, high up the hill and looking out onto the sea. We could see the big boats passing by in the distance.
Our room was really spacious and clean, with a lovely decor. The bathroom was exquisite, with a lovely big bath and separate shower. Each day, we returned to an immaculately clean room and bathroom.
Breakfast was also very good, with a big choice for a B&B. We had cereal, croissant, fruit, yogurt, banana cake, hard boiled eggs, fresh bread, orange juice and coffee.
There are plenty of activities to do nearby. We visited the needles, the pearly museum, Shanklin coastal walk, Sandown to Newport cycle route (on an old railway line) and Ryde go karting and sea front.
Debby made us feel welcome right away and made an excellent recommendation for dinner. Our visit was brief but very enjoyable. The setting was lovely and our room very comfortable, quiet, and clean. Also loved the quirky animal pillows ;)
Spacious, comfortable room with lovely mid-century furniture and suberb views. Debby was a great host providing brochures, maps and suggestions of where to visit and eat. She also very helpfully arranged discounted ferry tickets prior to our arrival which was much appreciated! Wish we could have stayed longer.
everything is GREAT here. Perfect holiday stay in Isle of Wight. We will be back:-)
Debby was so nice. We were late for breakfast but she waited till we got up. We couldn't find our comb but she did! (Amazing) The room was really nice, very tidy and with lovely view.

About the Host, Debby
Born and bred in London, I moved to Ventnor, Isle of Wight, in 2001 when I found my wow factor 60's home with 180 degree sea views. It was the best move I've ever made and, as the house is pretty spacious, I can now share it with guests.
I also have two self-catering homes, one in Ventnor, one in Shanklin.
With a background in vintage/design/PR/retail, I host my places to the high standard that I'd want if I were the traveller. I also know a heck of a lot about the IOW - where to go and what to do - and I'm the sort of person who likes to pass on all the hints and tips!
