The Space

Welcome to this new on Airbnb Apartment!
The apartment is a 3 minutes walk to the metro Nation, on line 1, 6, 2 or 9 of the metro. As you can catch all those lines, the metro can take you straight to most of the main sites.
Travel times: Bastille and the Marais : 10 minutes The Louvre and Palais Royal: 15 minutes Champs Elysées: 20 minutes The Eiffel Tower: 40 minutes Montmartre/ Sacré Coeur : 35 minutes - Eurodisney : 45 minutes
Charles de Gaulle Airport: 90-120 minutes Orly Airport: 60-90 minutes
There are also 2 Velib stations on the street and 2 buses running all day and night.
If you have a car, note that street parking is available and simpler than in many other places in Paris because the avenue is wide and quiet. Anyway you will have to pay for it, and it might take a little while before you find a spot.
When renting the apartment, guests will have the whole place to themselves. It is located on the 1rstFloor (2th American), with no lift.
The apartment itself is sunny and airy with a spacious bedroom with a large double bed (140 x 200), a nice children room with bunk beds (with a third mattress that can be placed on the floor if there is a third child), as well as a pull out sofa in the living-room suitable for 2 people. The living room can become intimate for those who sleep there thanks to a sliding door that separates from the rest of the rooms. The place fits 4-5 comfortably or 6-7 cosily!
It is fully furnished with all the modern cons such as 26" tv, dvd player, wi-fi internet. The kitchen is brand new and equipped with high standard cooking equipment (I love cooking), kettle, toaster, blender, fridge, oven and induction hob with 4 cooking zones. Please note there is no microwave oven.
All bed linen is provided as well as towels and a hairdryer.
The neighbourhood is mostly residential, so it's safe and quiet with food shops (Monoprix, a parisian institution), markets, delis just a few minutes away, and lovely restaurants right next door.
Check in and check out times can be flexible if there is no other guest before and after your staying , but strict if there is (check in after 2 pm, and check out before 12 am).

  • My stay at Sylvie's apartment was great. The apartment was very nice, it fitted my whole family (7 of us) comfortably. A cosy and clean apartment.
The apartment is close to a metro station, supermarket, bakery so everything you need you can fund it close by. When we checked in Sylvie received us and explained how everything works and the shops around her house.
The kitchen is also filled with everything you might need to cook a nice meal during your stay in Paris.
    Merci Sylvie!

  • We found Sylvie's apartment very pleasant and comfortable for a family of four (two twelve-year-old kids). We liked the privacy afforded by having two real bedrooms separate from the living space. And after a day of fighting the crowds at the Louvre or Eiffel Tower, we appreciated coming "home" to a relatively spacious apartment in a less touristed part of town. The Metro is very easy to get to from here - less than a 5-minute walk - so we had easy access to all the sights. But we also enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. Sylvie gave us tips for several good restaurants nearby, along with a terrific street market. There is a city bike rental rack directly outside the apartment building.

The building has a little garden, and most of the windows face away from the main street. It is in an urban setting with some street noise and traffic. You don't hear much of anything with the windows closed, but we were there during a heat wave, so we had them open. It's still quieter and slower paced than some neighborhoods closer to the center. The apartment has wifi, which the kids liked, and lots of light, which the adults liked. It was clean and offered all the amenities we needed. We think it gave us the best of both worlds - a direct line to the biggest tourist destinations and a glimpse into the everyday life of Parisians. Sylvie was a thoughtful host. We would gladly stay in her apartment again.

  • Sylvie was extraordinarily gracious and receptive. We especially appreciated her great communication and efforts to accommodate our specific needs. Her apartment is lovely and well situated near a central Metro station and with a bike-share station just out front. Highly recommended.

  • Sylvie could not have made us feel more welcome. Her home is a little taste of Paris living. A wonderful location to explore the city with the bonus of car parking on the street, great local shops and close to the Metro. A fantastic experience. Thank you

  • Sylvie's house is incredible. My family and me were a few days in an autentical and picturesque parisian appartment. If you want to experience yourself in Paris not like a turist but in a real parisian way of life, this cosy and comfortable appartment is just what you need. The house is very clean and well equiped. The neighborhood is pleasant and very quiet. Around the place there is everything you'll need: supermarket, restaurants, snack bars, bycicle station (just in front of the house), metro and train.
Sylvie is an agreeable person and very helpful.
Everything was perfect for us, and we'll love to stay there again.

  • Perfect apartment! Great value and very close to the Metro and RER and very quick to Paris city centre. There is a supermarket (Casino) at Nation Place, which had everything we wanted very cheaply. Sylvie kept in constant contact with us and went out of our way to help. Great location and great apartment!

  • Sylvie was a great host, very helpful and polite. Her apartment was really nice and clean with all the implements we needed to stay and also cook simple meals. Also great location as there was a supermarket and restaurants neaby and the Nation metro and RER station which made it accessible to wherever we wanted to go in Paris.
