We have a beautiful 'Portland four square' home in the Northeast Portland area (near Grant Park) that was built in the 1920's. While updated and recently remodeled, it still has lots of charm and character. The house sleeps up to 6 adults and 2 children comfortably (we also have a playpen available for babies and toddlers). The master bathroom has a king sized bedroom with its own master bathroom with double sinks and a large beautifully tiled shower. We have two rooms for children, each with a single bed. Two guest rooms each have their own queen sized beds. The house has 3.5 baths and a lovely sunroom that looks onto a tree lined street. The sun room is a great place to start your day with a morning cup of coffee and the newspaper.
There is an outdoor patio with gas grill and sitting area, and a play area for kids including a swing. Washer and dryer, wireless internet and cable on the big screen in the family room. Easy access to transit (bus line and walk to light rail/max) to downtown or you can rent a bike and get around town on a bike boulevard. This neighborhood is very bike friendly. Easy walk to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, local cafe's and restaurants, Starbucks and a farmer's market on Saturdays.

What a beautiful home to stay in for such a wonderful week. I don't think we could have asked for a more perfect place. Not only did the Durbin family leave us congratulatory wine and chocolate for our upcoming wedding, but their neighbors also brought us over flowers from their garden. The house was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. We had plenty of room for our wedding party to hang out. The kids were elated with the amount of space in which they had to run and the jungle gym out back. The house also stayed nice and cool even though the weather in Portland was as high as the low to mid-90's the week we were there. An air conditioner was recently installed on the second floor as well as the attic space, but we only needed it for the attic space. Truly lovely place, thank you.
It was a lovely home. The location was excellent. Great recommendations on the Cafes nearby.
This is an awesome house for traveling with a family. The location is perfect for exploring Portland, tucked in a pleasant neighborhood centrally located between the airport and downtown. You are literally within 15 minutes of everything. The house is in great condition. The kitchen and master bed/bathroom have been tastefully renovated with upscale furnishings. Andrea is very helpful and easy to work with. Will definitely be looking to stay here again!
Had a great time, the house was clean and had everything we needed. Our kids had fun playing in the backyard and it was easy to get to everything. Andrea's advice on places to eat and visit were very helpful. A word of caution for those sleeping in the master bedroom, be sure not to close the master bedroom door at night, if the cat isn't in the bedroom with you, she got a bit annoyed at about 2AM.
This is a fabulous home. We're a family of five, and we often end up putting all three of our (now grown!) children in a single room; in this house, they each had their own. The house is in great condition, is beautifully furnished, and has a large kitchen; some rooms, like the master bath, are newly renovated. Add to that a location in a quiet neighborhood with good access to markets, restaurants, and downtown Portland.
And as a final bonus, the owner, Andrea Durbin, is easy and delightful to work with.
This is a true five-star accommodation!
We brought 7 family members to the Durbin House-the youngest being 5, 3, and 17 months. For four days we used Andrea's home as our own to prepare for our son's wedding. All aspects of our stay were made easier because of Andrea's amazing organization and the perfect lay out of this fine home. We could relax, regroup, and enjoy our stay in the Portland area. The children enjoyed the fenced back yard and the large selection of toys made available to them by Andrea's children. My wife and I may well look to rent the basement apartment in the future as we visit our son and new daughter-in-law.
Can't recommend highly enough. Lovely home in a beautiful, family-friendly neighborhood. My family of four met up with my sister-in-law's family of four and there was plenty of space and the kids had a great time. So much fun to just stroll around the neighborhood, swing on the parkway swings, go to the bakery and park and nearby shops. I didn't get to meet Andrea in person but she was delightful to deal with.
