Beautiful home, walkable neighborhood in Northeast Portland. Great for families, groups and couples exploring Portland. 15 minutes from downtown, with easy access to transit. Start the day in sunroom, cook meals in gourmet kitchen and eat on patio.
We have a beautiful 'Portland four square' home in the Northeast Portland area (near Grant Park) that was built in the 1920's. While updated and recently remodeled, it still has lots of charm and character. The house sleeps up to 6 adults and 2 children comfortably (we also have a playpen available for babies and toddlers and a single air mattress if you need it). The master bathroom has a king sized bedroom with its own master bathroom with double sinks and a large beautifully tiled shower. We have two rooms for children, each with a single bed. Two guest rooms each have their own queen sized beds. The house has 3.5 baths and a lovely sunroom that looks onto a tree lined street. The sun room is a great place to start your day with a morning cup of coffee and the newspaper.
There is an outdoor patio with gas grill and sitting area, and a play area for kids including a swing. Washer and dryer, wireless internet and a big screen in the family room.
Easy access to the max light rail and bus lines to downtown. Walking neighborhood with cafes, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, restaurants.
Interaction with Guests
We generally rent our house when we are out of town, but always make sure our guests have what they need.
The neighborhood is beautiful, filled with large trees and lovely to enjoy an evening stroll. This neighborhood is very bike friendly. It is a short walk to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, local cafe's and restaurants, Starbucks and a local farmer's market on Saturdays.
It is very easy to get around from our neighborhood. There is easy access to transit (bus line and walk to light rail/max) to downtown or you can rent a bike and get around town on a bike boulevard. It takes 20 minutes to get downtown by bus, transit or bike or 15 minutes by car.
There is no smoking in and around our house, or use of drugs. We also have some fish and gerbils in our daughter's room that we ask you to feed each day. We have two cats that we generally move out while we are away/guests stay (but if you are allergic, you should know). We don't allow guests to bring their own pets.
We are a clean and responsible family. We ask that you clean up and follow our house instructions and be kind and respectful of our neighbors. Thank you so much and enjoy your stay!
We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and loved our experience in this very well located house, in a clean, green and quiet area of Portland and 10 mn drive to downtown and Pearl district. Nicely decorated with all necessary amenities, close to nice coffee shops an even to a Voodoo Doughnuts ! Warmly recommended. Thank you Andrea for being so nice and responsive.
Andrea was super responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house was much larger than we thought but still very cozy for our small family; it was perfect. The location is also great - really close to local shops, cafes and groceries. We would definitely stay here again!
Place was great! Came exactly as described. We were traveling with two 80 year olds also and had no issues. Place was clean and Andrea called and made sure we were comfortable.
Would absolutely stay there again.
The house was perfect for a big group with kids -- we had a fantastic stay here. Andrea was extremely communicative, generous and accommodating, we couldn't have asked for more.
What a beautiful home to stay in for such a wonderful week. I don't think we could have asked for a more perfect place. Not only did the Durbin family leave us congratulatory wine and chocolate for our upcoming wedding, but their neighbors also brought us over flowers from their garden. The house was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. We had plenty of room for our wedding party to hang out. The kids were elated with the amount of space in which they had to run and the jungle gym out back. The house also stayed nice and cool even though the weather in Portland was as high as the low to mid-90's the week we were there. An air conditioner was recently installed on the second floor as well as the attic space, but we only needed it for the attic space. Truly lovely place, thank you.
It was a lovely home. The location was excellent. Great recommendations on the Cafes nearby.
This is an awesome house for traveling with a family. The location is perfect for exploring Portland, tucked in a pleasant neighborhood centrally located between the airport and downtown. You are literally within 15 minutes of everything. The house is in great condition. The kitchen and master bed/bathroom have been tastefully renovated with upscale furnishings. Andrea is very helpful and easy to work with. Will definitely be looking to stay here again!

Hello -- welcome to one of the best cities in the world. John and I have lived in different places (the east coast and Europe) and we settled in Portland eight years ago and never want to live anywhere else again. The city has amazing food and restaurants, great beer and wine and a vibe that is easygoing and full of adventure.
We love the outdoors -- camping and hiking in the mountains, or on the coast. We also love to bicycle and try to bike as much as we can to get around town.
We have two kids who share these passions. They are 12 and 8 years old. We also like to travel and spend a lot of time exploring the different parts of the region, or traveling globally.
We hope to have the chance to introduce you to why we love it so much here. We love offering up our home for travelers and groups coming to Portland. We hope you enjoy your stay.
