Sunny private room atop prestigious Nob Hill on a quaint and quiet street with no traffic, and in the best tourist location in the city close to everything. A very safe neighborhood. Great views in every room. Close to lots of great transportation.
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!
Sunny room comfortably accommodates one guest. However, up to two guests may stay, as long as you don't mind sharing a twin-sized bed (39 inches by 75 inches, which is 99.1 cm by 190.5 cm). However, I do have, when needed, a foldout thick bed mat for the floor in cases where two guests prefer separate beds.
My apartment building is located atop prestigious Nob Hill on a quaint and very quiet street with no traffic, and in the best tourist location in the city close to everything.
This is a very safe neighborhood. The apartment is on the top floor with no elevator in the back of a very quiet building. There are great views in every room. Street parking (be sure to read the signs for availability) and many public garages within a two block radius nearby.
All cable cars are just a half a block away, with many bus lines a block or two away. BART trains are just a ten minute walk away. Many restaurants, bars/clubs, markets, shopping centers and stores are in walking distance, along with Union Square, Chinatown, and the Financial and Theatre Districts. The historic Huntington Park is just one and a half blocks away, which is a great place to sit, read or have a picnic. You are in the heart of San Francisco. And, staying here may cause you to leave your heart (like Tony Bennett sung about) because you love it so much.
Limited basic cable and very fast wireless internet are included, along with flat screen TV, linen, towels, bed pillows, extra blankets, and additional amenities. Room is 10' x 9.5' and has a great view. There is a top of the line Serta brand name twin-sized bed, desk with chair, dresser, iron and ironing board, vanity mirror, radio alarm clock, blow dryer, umbrellas, other furniture, closet and a full-length mirror in room. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are available, if needed.
Common areas that you will have full access to are the kitchen (please feel free to cook any of your favorite meals with state-of-the-art Cuisinart professional cookware available and help yourself anytime to the coffee maker), restroom/bathroom (restroom and bathroom areas are in separate rooms) and hallway. There is no living room because it has been transformed into the bedroom of the one person you will be sharing the apartment with. A very long hallway separates the two bedrooms and your bedroom is immediately located near the front door (almost like a private entrance).
I am the other person you will be sharing the apartment with and I have been a permanent resident in the Nob Hill neighborhood for 21 years. I can give you a lot of tips about San Francisco to help make your stay very enjoyable.
I look forward to your visit.

John's apart. is perfectly located in a quiet alley of Nob Hill with great views and plenty of sunlight. I enjoyed the fact that I was on my own at the apart., tranquil, it's nice after a long days on business trip. John was out of town but we had a nice chat over a glass of Provence rosé wine before I left. He is a very nice host.
The apart. is small, not renovated or fancy. But comfy, clean and pleasant. Good size room with single bed, plenty of storage and window for fresh air.
I would go back. Cheers! LM :)
John's apartment is in a prime location in SF. I was able to walk around the city easily from there and felt safe while doing so! The whole apartment is comfortable and the space was just what I was looking for. John is a great host - we didn't get to spend too much time together, as he had to head out of town the day after I arrived, but I really enjoyed the time we did have to chat. Great location, great price, great experience. I would definitely stay there again! :)
John was welcoming and made us feel at home right away. I asked if we could see the view of the city from the roof and he took us up right away for a look. We were very comfortable at John's place.
John is the ideal host, as he is very accommodating and kind. He is also full of helpful information, and provides for ever need during your stay. Highly recommend staying at John's place.
John was a delightful host, and is indeed in a prime San Fran location. We had quite a lot of luggage which made the flights of stairs rather a challenge, but then it is SFO! It was a bit of a squeeze for two of us and our luggage, but we spent very little time in his home as we had family close by, so it suited us a treat. Many thanks indeed for helping with our bags, and being a delight!
John was a great host - very laid back and friendly. We were on the go for the whole two days there so we didn't get to spend too much time together, but the time we did spend chatting was fun! Check in was easy, room and location were perfectly as described on airbnb, and everything was just a breeze. Highly recommend if you want a primetime location in SF.
The apartment is located about a 10 min walk downhill to Chinatown and Union Square, so really great for exploring. Depending on where you come back from it'll be a long uphill walk so make sure you're up for it! Also it gets cold at night so use that heater.
John was the best host ever!
When I and my boyfriend arrived at SF airport, it was really heavy raining and we both were exhausted. But let me say, his apartment was perfect for us!
Bedroom was cozy and well decorated. Our separated bathroom/restroom was huge, clean, and even had enough bath towel. We used kitchen so many times and it was great for us to make our breakfast/dinner together. I also had wifi access with no problems at all. I think it fulfilled every need we could ever think of.
Location was what I most liked about. His apartment was located right next to Chinatown, and close to everywhere. BART train station which you need to go to airport was just around ten minutes walk away.
In addition, John was a really nice person. Every time we asked something, he helped us a lot and gave us tips for our SF travel. He was a very warm and hospitable. Thank you!
It was a perfect choice for the 3-days stay in San Francisco :)
John was an excellent host and had everything set up for us perfectly, the apartment was a great location to many of the main things to do in SF, overall great experience! Thanks John!
John was a great host. He was very accommodating for my late arrival time. The room was clean and the private bath was a plus. I would definitely stay at John's again.
John is super friendly! He provides good communication between him and his guests, so you dont have to worry about getting lost/not getting there. The location of his apartment is just between Union Sq and Chinatown. However, you have to conquer about 3 steep slopes and a flight of stairs when you get there, not recommended for people with extremely heavy luggages (aka me).
However, his apartment provides one of the best views of the city and is quite a prime location.
