Wondeful Melody. We enjoyed your stay with us. You are correct. The stairs does have a bit of a "creak" walking up. I guess it is part of trying to maintain all of the orginal things in these old browstones but I will look to see if there is anyting we can do with it. Thanks so much. We are only as good as our guest who can give a little pointers to us.

Indeed Carlos, the building is old. We have tried to maintain as much of the original parts of the building as is possible. Since your departure, we have had to replace the front stairs but the goal is always too maintain the antiqueness of this property. Thank you for a great stay. We absolutely adored you and your family and thanks for your kind words.

Thomas, when did you discover that this place was so bad? Was it after you checked in at 1:30, a half hour early and the housekeeper allowed you to come in? Was it after she helped you to bring all of you and your wife's luggages upstairs when your children kindly left you to struggle with it knowing you were incapable? DId you ever figure out that this was not in her job description? Was it after your wife called her to request soap, shampoo and had her running up and down the stairs for your request? Did you not know that that she would be in your place if your wife kept asking her for more things? You told the company you couldn't shower for your wedding but you were screaming from the shower to get all these items. Did you discover the place was filthy after you sat and had breakfast, ate all the fruits, drank coffee, ate the cereal and the bread and claim you used nothing. Was it after you told me you had a wonderful time loved the place and then several days after decide to call and ask for a full refund? By the way, none of the complaints you made here matched up with the complaints you made to airbnb. As for the "homeless man" , we New Yorkers do not look down on the "Homeless". You were ineed, in a city of humanitarians. We pride our selves in being good people who care about the empoverished. This is a city where people collect bottles for money. They take it back to the store in return for cash. It is quite New York city typical. It happens in all neighborhoods. I am sure the woman collecting bottles said hello to you as she was very polite while you turned your nose up to her. She came in, took the bottles and closed the trash can, closed the gate and went about her business trying to get some honest money. Maybe we all need to take some lessons from her and live honestly Thomas. At least she was not trying to get anything she didn't earn. She was not trying to stay in my place and ditch paying. So much of what you claim is untrue that I won't even waste time to elaborate on anything else. I will close this off Thomas by saying, have a conscience. You can not stay in someone's place for a night with such a large group, use all the facilities and then call the company for a full refund. I have stayed in all kind of places and have never expected to stay for free by making false accusations. You decided to write this review after you relized that your dream of having a free night in NYC was not going to happen. Much luck Thomas. Much luck in finding another place where you can attempt to stay for free! Cheers!!
