This short trip in Fregene was a really good time. The place is quiet and spacious and there are everything we need in the neighborhood (bars, an excellent pizzeria, buses, seaside, shops) . The bikes are usefull! Fabio is a really nice host. He informed us a lot and pay attention for every little details for us to feel in vacation. I recommend him!
Отлично. всё супер , море рядом - 3 мин на машине или 15 мин пешком, есть даже 2 велосипеда, район тихий и спокойный, хозяин приветливый
Had a great time at the villa. Fabio picked us up at the train station for a minimal fee and gave us some background about the area. Gave us a great little tour of Fregene and the spots for food and the bus tickets. About 15 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to the supermarket. Bikes are there but the couple who we were sharing the villa with used them the first day. The place was very clean, wifi was a little iffy but the location made us overcome that. Definitely a place I'd stay again with a significant other.
We spend to nights in Fabios villa in Fregene.
It is a good location for early flights and is nice to get out of the Rome chaos.
Fabio is a great host he greeted us with some wine and helped us to see the city
Thank you do having us
Fabio was very nice host, he was very helpful. The house is in very calm neighborhood and offer us everything we needed. One can see the distance from Rome as the problem, but I don't think so. Bus is at Cornelia station in 30 minutes and if you have problem, Fabio can give you a lift.
The Villa is a really nice place to stay for your trip to Rome : its easy to go in the city, and its amazing to stay in Fregene to relax at the beach. The house is comfortable and safe ! And there is a nice backyard to enjoy the sun as well
Fabio is a remarquable host, he was very helpful and friendly, he helped us to get around the city and took care of us ! I highly recomand it for your next stop in Rome !
The villa is in a sleepy town (we rented off season) a bus ride from Rome. The bus costs 2.20 euro and takes about 40 minutes to get to Rome (you then have to get a metro into the centre) and you should check the timetable as they finish at 9:30pm.
Fabio was a very helpful host and was responsive to our needs.
We had a great time, the place was lovely and peaceful and suited our needs perfectly. It was ideal for a few weeks relaxation as winter started to hit London!
A few tips
Benny's is a bar about 5 minutes walk from the villa and has a great selection of beer and wine.
The local market comes on Monday's just outside Benny's and is great for fruit and veg
If you are in Italy for a while, a wind mobile sim card will give you 10Gb of data and lots of minutes and texts. The 3g signal for me was as good as wifi I've experienced elsewhere.
The beach can seem difficult to access as there are beach clubs along it. You can actually just walk through most and the beach itself is free to access.
You might want to bring mosquito spray, although this is probably applicable to anywhere nearby!
Fabio is a great guy. Very nice and helpful. He gave us good directions for getting around and even came out of his way to pick us up in Rome when we missed the bus. The villa is a little far from Rome (about 45 min to an hour on the bus and then the metro into the city centre) but it is do-able. The last bus back is kind of early (2130) but if you talk to Fabio before hand you can plan for him to pick you up, for a small fee, so you don't have to rush. We were there in the off season so the beach was pretty empty except for a few surfers, it's not too far and there were some bikes to use but we just walked. The villa itself was cosy, there's a balcony in one of the bedrooms but the whole place could have used a good scrubbing and dusting. There was also no wifi, but a desktop computer with Internet access to plan things or check email. If you are looking for a place to relax and make a few trips into the Roma this would work, if you want your holiday to be all about The city and sightseeing then maybe find something closer.
Fabio accepted our booking at very short notice for which we were very grateful. The house is spacious and comfortable and very convenient for the airport.
Excellent value for the price. Nice country feeling after being in the big city of Rome. Fabio was exceptionally responsive and even met us at the train station and drove us to his place which was far outside the city near the airport. Extremely convenient for travel to and from the airport. He even picked us up and drove us to the airport the next morning. This helped to relieve so much of the stress of being at the airport early, which in Rome, is necessary! We enjoyed the bikes and rode them to get ourselves some nice pizza and wine which we enjoyed on the patio.
